UMS delegation’s visit to AXHU

Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) chancellor Prof. Datuk Kasim Hj. Mansor and his managing directors took an exchange tour on Mar 27, 2026, at AXHU main campus.

The mainstay discussion during that focused on AXHU-UMS educational cooperation, international talent cultivation solutions, synchronous mechanism for intercollegiate scientific research by potential areas.

Distinguished with an affable host in another AXHU flowering season, the AXHU executive vice president WANG Li along with the administration chiefs and disciplinary faculty of importance, such as from the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, Admissions Office, School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, School of Urban Construction, and other major sectors, welcomed these vanguard higher education providers at AXHU 2026, where they were very, very happy of meeting up and learning from each other, constructively, and strongly equipped for a history of international education challenges.

And then Datuk Kasim, also as a doctor of science, conducted a collection of in-depth academic studies at the School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence.  

There, the communications staff has had introduced and interpreted the present School-based research orientations, technological practices, transformed results, and University-Enterprise integration mattering in innovative efficacy so far.

Especially, he got surprised after listening to but witnessing lots of facts by the teaching and research groups honoring with the data and information officially, as well as the continuing updates of the labs and facilities functioning overall in reinforcing the operation system involving in the modern new era.   

Together, having a campus walk down AXHU boulevards adorned with swaths of sweet flavor-scenting blossoms against the lush fresh green woods—vigorously, nourishing in a full springtime of 2026 Hefei, China, afterward, our UMS guests speak highly of what they had met and seen and felt themselves in regard to the well-instituted teaching-and-learning infrastructures that contributed to a more proactive academic environment being well qualified as an organic part of Chinese higher education efforts underway.

Gathering blithely at AXHU Research Building VIP meeting room, a symposium began with Wang’s welcome address to the senior experts of Malaysian higher education, and then briefed the history of AXHU Education, its newest layout by accurate disciplinary positing, comprehensive construction, and internationalization advancement, sanguinely pointing out, “AXHU’s action inspired throughout the Chinese ‘reform and open up’ strategy is always adhering to the MOE guideline based on the ‘Belt and Road Initiative,’ by now concluding with more than 40 foreign higher educational institutions worldwide, of which the lawfully-accepted international programs, such as Sino-foreign cooperative schooling, exchange faculty, students and staff, joint educational innovation, and the like, had had covered a longer distance on these practical program-related grounds.”

Also, this is another “big date” when we befriending within AXHU-UMS educational cooperation talks will open a new chapter that must predict and celebrate the next milestone engagements with bridging two sides to forward the road to the UMS-AXHU future, highlighting this AXHU-UMS exchange activity as the starting point to enable a fast and efficient ramp-up to continue a maximum of sharing resources and common interests in promoting high-quality joint educational practices.

And Datuk Kasim, responding movingly with the AXHU people’s hospitality, introduced the up-to-date UMS-based international cooperative framework remaining proactive as one of the domestically reputed public universities in Malaysia, by detailing its disciplinary strengths, feature exercises of educational solutions, in which all the UMSers are always committed themselves to making a difference in the areas of Marine Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Commercial Finance, Engineering Technology, and otherwise, hopefully adding: “Let’s enjoy the following intriguing interplay between AXHU and UMS over constructive practices of preparing and developing new talents with global visions as we do believe throughout advancing knowledge through the day-to-day hard work!”

After presenting souvenirs to each other and taking a group picture for the memorable moment, the meeting came to an end with a breezy agreement in 2026 spring.

With the springboard tour the UMS delegates took to the AXHU community, the section first in person has had improved the mutual understandings while internationally establishing the lifelong friendships, which thus will pave a smooth way to lead to an in-depth international education cooperation across the multiple fields on the global scale.
