Dec 16, 2025, International Office,5-minute read

Recently, the 7th edition, co-organized by the MOE and the State Language Commission, announces the full list of the awardees, which include the AXHU School of Culture and Communication’s record-breaking competitors in the history of AXHU Education: the national First Prize work “Dayanhe—Our Nanny River” performed by YANG Jie, and Excellent Nomination “Dreamers” by NI Chen, ZHU Rui, XIE Ying, CHANG Shiwei, WU Yifei, JIANG Xinyue, ZHANG Xiaoxiao, DONG Yawen, and LIU Yufeng, both at the College Student Group.

Meanwhile, engaged in the University Teacher Group, “Tales of Hulan River” by HONG Yu and XING Yu won the Second Prize, and “Hard Roads Toward Shu State” by ZHAI Chunxiang and ZHENG Shuai Third Prize.

Totally, the event had collected more than 2,000 pieces to the national finals 2025 (of which the 342 ones join the final competitions off-line).

After going through campus-wide screenings, municipal and provincial preliminaries, and then national semifinals, the lyric work “Dayanhe—Our Nanny River” helped YANG Jie have an academic exchange opportunity to greet in person and learn from each other among the finalists coming from the Communication University of China, The Central Academy of Drama, Shanghai Theatre Academy, and more.

Inspirationally, Yang’s artistry full of emotional connotations interpreting between the poetic lines to express the kind of mother-like love, simple but deep, revealed the spiritual bond of the vast Chinese diligent laborers’ tenacity, loyalty, and sincerity to care for their own endearing homeland, whose artistic communication effect deeply moved a wider range of on-site juries and audiences and won their heartfelt claps in praises.

It is a time of record-breaking engagement in and beyond AXHU community to step up to a higher level of teaching, research, and practices in the domain of Chinese Classics Recitation (as the university delegation out of the Anhui higher education for a third time onto the national event of academic importance).

The event was enlisted into the 2025 National General Higher Education Disciplinary Competition Repository, aiming to highlight the good traditions of Chinese language and culture, and to enhance the holistic linguistic application in the global context.

In the future, the AXHU Education will continue to focus on the Recitations (or creative writings) as one of critical vehicles for an increased organizational influence with the growth of much more current students and faculty members to continue their legendary commitments.

To be concrete, the School of Culture and Communication administration should expand its present disciplinary advantages by conceiving and developing a trove of high-level teaching results of aesthetics plus displaying activities as a window of opportunity to convene more fellow members when seeking some new consensus that must have a substantial impact on what AXHU Education will do and collectively work well.

Benefiting from ongoing experience of “Chinese Classics” series on the exchange platform   special for on-campus college students and teachers, while themselves enjoying in recitations and other scholarly creations, the MOE-initiated Chinese cultural inheritance as well as the innovative development is helping them come closer to those national iconic treasures being inclusively appreciated especially in the digital era, build up capability of humanist revival and indigenous culture confidence, and be as the new generations qualified for the great cause of revitalizing the Chinese nation.
