To power the higher education priorities with the wider commitment of local community and campus resources for regional cooperation development overall from a humanistic perspective and promote the current AXHU international students’ social science study of contemporary China, the innovation program of “AXHU-ShuFengWang Base for Chinese Studies” was launched on the afternoon of Nov 14, 2025.
During the inauguration ceremony at Tianle-ShuFengWang Community Service Center, Gaoxin District, Hefei, the attendees official include: the Department of Social Construction & Grassroots Governance of the Hefei Municipal Social Work Commission deputy director LIU Zhihui; Charity Federation of the Hefei Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau chairman WAN Jingsong; Department of International Promotion of the Foreign Affairs Office of Hefei Municipal People’s Government deputy director WU Fan; Social Development Bureau of the Gaoxin District Administration deputy director, also the CPC secretary, CHU Fei; dean of the AXHU School of International Education Prof. FAN Dongsheng, along with the faculty, international student reps, and staff; and many supporters from all walks of life.
The event themed “GREEN PATHWAY TO FUTURE: A Call For ShuFeng Action with Our Scaling, Enduring, and Sterling Purpose of Worldwide Respect for National Sovereignty, Fair Share of Human Civilization, General Nature of Multi-stakeholders on good leaderships, International Cooperation of Global Youth in Good Standing,” is charting, recording, and marking our new educational history on the one-of-a-kind pedagogical chapter that might meaningfully remind us of the inexorable progress of co-building for all the people.
On the other side, the innovative breakthrough as a nexus of AXHU academia and ShuFengWang community services which stay connected and sustained for public good, is not only manifesting the social service achievements via their essential work yearslong at the masses level, but also according to Chinese higher education’s mission, the AXHU-based academic research portfolio has long been taking effect for culturally practical guidance on the comprehensive social governance in due courses.
After all the attendees witnessed and celebrated the historic SHIELD Moment, Prof. Fan delivered a remark: “Being centered at the core value, globally, communicating ‘China culture in success stories’ of forging the community people’s highest ideals and best wishes to advance a better world, the cooperation platform be established is homage to all younger sinologists from around the world, where the incoming members in person will have a good opportunity—offering an insight into the every ordinary people’ life-loving, lives-improving, diligent pursuits of Chinese Dream—to make sense of UN Secretary-General’s message: ‘...to build a more just, inclusive and sustainable world for all’.”
A climax of the event was coming out, while through hear-to-heart dialogue sessions on “To Know and Befriend with China” and a diversity of internationally cultural presentations, especially for some impromptu performing arts by the international students and the local residents there, displaying the nations’ different cultural facets paired with in different ways but on the same substrate of our best hopes for that collective action.
Moreover, when some of AXHU international second years students shared some special viewpoints after their own intercultural experiences engaged in ShuFengWang community activities earlier this year, they themselves confirmed emotionally, “Heifei is my second hometown..., I love China!”
So it, to some extent, is exactly interpreting the great value of Chinese higher education categories, and the conviction that AXHU international education can do more for the future internationalized community.
After that, they, along with the community managers, visited some local families, acting as ‘Warmest Wishes from Goodwill Ambassador’ to learn about the present Chinese welfare reform and social security system running on the ShuFengWang community services, and to provide practical support for the child care, elder care, health care, job training for low-wage families, culture and entertainment facilities, and other areas, and to commit the main focus of AXHU international education dedication to heighten the overall humanistic spirit with its concrete schooling effort that gives the international students a good moral grounding, as for the humane care and social duties & responsibilities to push all the boundaries that has and will be happening for all nationals on the world.
The 2025’s new AXHU education landmark is another productive approach to expand and integrate the current educational resources regionally for promoting the happiness process that is applicable for a holistic social well-being, and the ripple effect will be felt by the incoming young foreign people from all backgrounds for embracing the trustworthy mainstream success in China and globally.
To get closer to the UN’s stature in general, designed to offer the extracurricular activities series alike, such as indigenous culture experience, social survey and data analysis, innovative research engagements that cross disciplines and boundaries, international volunteer services access, to assist them in taking a closer look at what all China now is engaged in the World People-centered certainty operations featuring a good international political position and how the Chinese people is transforming that goal with a wider range facts, which can be so vividly, concretely perceived in the first persons that the understanding AXHU international students have reached can help them to shape an inclusive, generous, and friendly attitude, and have a more natural aptitude for their own academic career to go thriving in the city of Hefei, Anhui province, China.
In the near and far future, AXHU administrators will continue to move the AXHU Strengths into impact and stretches of Hefei-based internationalization action initiative.
