To expand academics’ vision, energize innovative research, promote academic exchange and cooperation between universities/institutes, and create a scholarly ambience of excellence, the “Lead Academics AXHU Forum” was historically established on the AXHU campus and its inaugural event started with an academic report of “Biomaterials Technology and the Frontiers” by the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) Prof. FU Yao, doctoral supervisor, also recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars,—rallying together nearly 200 representatives of the faculty, students and staff from AXHU schools and departments—, which was moderated by the vice president WANG Qijin.

In Fu’s report, he mainly introduced a number of emerging solutions available to reduce carbon emissions via the newest biosynthetic technologies to realize high-performance material sources functioning in the ecological environment-friendly strategy, covering the core points: Bio-Manufacturing-pioneered Green Transformation of Material Sources Industries; Greener Energy Solutions of Furyl Compounds and New Materials; Microchemical Technology-driven Green Transformation; AI-powered Development of Furyl Materials; and what’s going on with his research team’s career efforts and how an impactful role they positively played amid the Green Engineering Agenda central to state policies in years past.
There are lots of R&D outcomes so far, including kiloton-volume mass production of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF), bio-based furyl derivatives, polyethylene furanoate (PEF), polyamide, polyurethane, epoxy resin, polyimide, and other series characterizing with renewable sources and sustainable processes in developing the potential function materials.
The team did, meanwhile, based on its Intelligent Synthesis platform of the ‘continuous flow’ reaction system plus AI-powered algorithm, succeed in some pivotal parts of producing new materials via large-scale screenings and the optimization in synthetic tactics.
Regarding the successful R&D transformation into the real-situation manufacturing, the attendees’ interactivity with the Prof. Fu was presiding over a prime-time discussion on the high positive correlation between the lab-based scholastic aptitude and industrialization dealerships’ entry-level engagements.
And in the AXHU Education’s behalf, Chairman Wang presents AXHU-themed souvenir to express our heart-felt thanks to Fu’s munificence and abundance in contributing to the Chinese higher education mission in frontier domains.
His teammates’ yearslong dedication to finding out some agentic solutions of renewable resources and the entrances accessible to generative transformation, rounding out the current biochemincal areas, such as the Organic Chemistry Green, Systhesis Chemistry, Biomass Chemical Engineering, and much more.
While describing, interpreting, and explaining with a selection of the impactful algorithmic models on the top lists, but effecting in a simpler way, Fu is in hopes of kindling those AXHU-based fellow members’ visions to take further steps of innovation and creation as national expert career.
During AXHU Education’s newest version to produce the younger interdisciplinary talents, who will behave promising and convincing on such illustrative, performative campus, this is not only a festive, high-end, feel-good, and well-informed event—conceptually sparking a new dimension of ground-breaking work, but also a schedule of leading academics to act out—gathering at AXHU FORUM series—later on.
And, historically, AXHU community is commissioned to inspire, connect, and moderate the scholarly sources nationwide in the upper reaches, whose academic reasoning will wow the sow-and-harvest favorites of theirs in prime times.
