2025 AXHU’s outreach program

On Friday afternoon, Jul 11, the AXHU vice president LI Jun, along with executive dean of the School of Urban Construction WANG Qing and her primary faculty members engaging with the School-based pilot unit running for the AXHU master’s program of Resources and Environment, headed to the Research Institute for Chaohu Lake Water Resources of the Anhui Eco-environment Administration and attended the constructive conferences (also signing ceremony) for the government-university strategic cooperation and innovations.

The Institute’s head TANG Xiaoxian (as the moderator), director of the Hydrology & Water Resources Department QI Pengyun, director of Scientific Research Management HAN Qi, and other chief staff members, met with the visiting AXHUers and conducted a series of constructive discussions to find a path to viability of regional economy and natural landscapes.

In the beginning, Tang introduced its general value and vision cast into the current situations confirmed up by their core personnel having much stronger capacities of the research and management, ideological conversion, on-field solutions, and modern-day advanced tech equipment and tools, while long remaining largely positive in the areas of the ecological environment of Anhui-area lakes and rivers, meantime, especially adding: “For nearly 20-year concerted efforts of AXHU people, the AXHU-wide educational achievements and disciplinary breakthroughs also impressed us differently and favorably.” 

So, shifted meaningfully now with our new common perception on each other’s high-efficient transformation practices, while pursuing the governmental agenda available on the condition of much institutional, academic, industrial exercises to make the overall ecological environment targets timely, popular, and sustainable, the further details of “precessing our bilateral cooperation” might energize an appealing outlook of what the sample of the Chaohu Lake natural resources being in ‘maximal preservation’ would have been amplified thoughtfully and ever ecologically with regard to its own long-term prosperous evolution, mostly because the Anhui-wide devoted people want to be happy with the comprehensive cause for next generations.  

Afterward, Li briefed a history of AXHU educational progress over the past decades and the disciplinary characteristics, arguing that the ongoing talent policy is dedicated to seeking for more innovative modes anyhow to deepen the solid ties of all kinds (spanning from government to university, enterprise, or other business forms) of co-cultivating, co-working, and co-developing to zoom over the prospective opportunities in their most limitless space.

Typically, exemplified by the cooperative practices this time to reconfigure between the Administration and the AXHU, all the staff and faculty continue to step up their endeavors to prepare the high-quality talent, to initiate a new round of research innovation and transformation, and to generate more applications in situational awareness, so as to push the boundaries of the Chinese ecological environment actions at times.   

With that, Director Han and Dean Wang, on the each side’s behalf, signed the Strategic Cooperative Agreement 2025 edition.

Moreover, Li conferred the ‘AXHU Mentorship’ certificate to Tang.

And they altogether came with an announcement of the ‘Shield’ moment inaugurated for the Cooperative Base for Research and Development lineup.

That includes the introduction at the developers conference of the Chaohu Lake-area obvious improvements of the environmental protection actions over the last years, and of some new ideas and attempts to institutionally update and technically reinforce the current cooperative efforts with a wider view for jointly addressing and operating the ecological rehabilitation, AI-fueled transformation, on-campus research grounds, and much more.

This marquee event will push a time of deep academic research, regional cooperation, and concerted practice for innovative outputs.

In the future, the Administration and AXHU will project more Government-University programs tied to the current eco-environment industries to spin out a broader range of achievements and innovations, involving joint education, shared resources, mutual support, tech applications, and to boost the Chinese comprehensive progress on all fronts.
