Recently, the 4-day finals for CHINA ROBOT 2024 COMPETITION wrapped up at Xi’an International Convention and Exhibition Center (Xi’an ICEC), the four crews at AXHU School of Electronic Engineering/Intelligent Manufacturing received one first prize, one second prize, and two third prizes, respectively.
Funded by Chinese Association of Automation, the “World RoboCup” has become one of the longstanding disciplinary interests in students engagement of impact in this field, which has already run its 25th session in succession, which also is included successfully into CHINA ASSOCIATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION-issued “National General Higher Education Disciplinary Competition Rankings,” acting a staunch role as exchange platform for the China’s high-end talents and professionals in the areas of intelligent manufacturing technology.
This year’s tracks comprised of Robot Innovation, Smart Car, Served Robot, and the like, convening +1,700 teams at over 200 universities and colleges nationwide.
Reportedly, the groups led by the staff members had been prepared from the early start in the year of 2024, based on a flurry of actions, such as “emblem” promotions, technical conferences, and need-based training, intramural offers, members recruiting & selecting, and more.
So, they obtained four first prizes at Anhui-wide preliminaries in Aug 2o24, while heading toward the end of 2024 edition competing over “Robot+” Innovation and Smart Car Challenges.
AXHU RUIHANG Engineering, ratcheting up the “Robot+” Innovation project, coupled with a sect of “AI-Driven Coordination & Pioneering Rescue,” put forth a completely new ROS-based model, eyeing the areas close to the unique design and innovative technologies for expanding the further research and transformation in the applied settings—so much so that their output was greatly praised by the judgement panel and presented a gold medal at the event.
Racing onward the Smart Car track, AXHUers themselves had been displaying a cultivation of Team Work in flexibility, adaptation and innovation, especially for their excellent abilities in both CS programming and accurate manipulation, who finally collected one second prize and two third prizes in the category of Fundamentals for Electromagnetic Drive—Dual-Car Coordinated Tasks finals.
Profoundly, those awards embodied AXHU-wide educational ideas known as “On-Field Competition for Learning, Applying and Integrating,” which has visibly taken effects in practical teaching policies, while preparing high-quality applied engineering talents in new era.
