Record Works for Finales in 2024

Eventually, the 6th Chinese Classics Contests co-hosted by the MOE and China’s State Language Commission granted the 2024 Awards for individuals and units at higher education, and the faculty, students and staff in AXHU School of Culture and Communication received two third prizes and three grand prizes.

 

The “center stage” event, via a carnival of cultural participation, featured exhibitions and theme celebrations as well, such as live recitation, scholarly discourse on the indigenous literary works, and the philosophical Scripts & Styles lent by traditional Chinese characters’ ideography and pictography to making art in seal engraving, calligraphy or painting, has provided the public, especially for Chinese teenagers, a window into the intricate wisdom and staying power in the ancient times.

 

After re-laying concentration on the seasoning nature and shaping up to be the submissions in races for specimens and artifacts, finally, the poetic prose “Snowflakes Fall on the Ground” won the third prize in the Students Group, which was written by the undergrads ZHANG Huanhuan and ZHU Guanfeng-and edited by the AXHU School of Culture and Communication assistant dean ZHAI Chunxiang and the Broadcasting & Anchoring faculty ZHENG Shuai; a lyric composition “Moonlit River In Spring” grand prize, created by the undergrad XIONG Yujie according to the faculty WAN Min’s directions and rehearsals; “Bamboo Poem” grand prize, made by the undergrad CHEN Zixin with a support of the faculty FU Yurui’s academic research; and both “Psalms” originally by the faculty members HONG Yu and ZHAI ChunXiang-and the “Original Seals” album by HE Shuyan, respectively, lighting up with a third prize in the Teachers Group. 

 

From its early start at AXHU education, the policy priorities on the ground had paid close heed to the way the compelling Chinese heritage and traditions could have impacted positive changes seen in the on-campus students’ linguistic competence and culture cultivation for decorated career in higher learning environments.

 

Centered at the spirit of Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, AXHUers will fully engage with such national-level events with an intellectual rigour impetus to promote Chinese language and its applications featuring culture confidence and to ensure a passport to the Chinese classical works and craftsmanship of excellence for future generations, globally.
