Upholding the spirit of National Education Conference

The extension convention for the CPC AXHU committee was held on Sep 26, including the current members with both the CPC AXHU Committee and AXHU administration, as well as the leaderships from the affiliates and branches at the Schools and Departments, which was chaired by the residential secretary of the CPC AXHU committee DI Jianwei at 608 AXHU Research Building.

During that, all the attendees learned from the Keynote Address by Chinese President Xi Jinping at 2024 National Education Conference—“Notice of Implementation of the Full Text” issued by the CPC Anhui Provincial Education Work Committee and the Secretary Department.

Referred to as the guideline of National Education Conference to secure the high-quality educational development at all levels, the event highlighted the critical importance of AXHU’s holistic construction for a high-level applied university in Anhui Province.

Initially, all the members should have a deep understanding of the “Six Factors” for advancing the education-empowered nation, i.e. Leaderships in Ideological and Political Power; Strength of Talents; Sci-Tech Support; Guarantee for People’s Livelihood; Social Coordination; International Impact, while systematically dealing with the “Five Relations” i.e. Generality and Individuality; Party-building and Operations; Objective-driven and Task-based Solutions; Institutionalization and Effectiveness; Inheritance and Innovation.

To take on the collective responsibility and mission of realizing the strategic goal and planning via decisive measures for phased tasks to advance the educational evolution in new era, all the educators should hang on to the ideas of “preparing high-quality talents featuring high-level ethics,” through which to push forward the overall work across higher education institutions to the next level.

In conclusion, Di stressed the three concrete demands, including:

~Up-to-down initiative of learning about the National Education Conference, the third plenary session of the 20^th CPC Central Committee, and the book Of Education by Chinese President Xi Jinping, through which all the CPC leaders and members with their exemplary engineering at AXHU community should enhance the political competences in judgement, insights and execution in the context of Chinese democratic governance.

~Focus on AXHU 14^th Five-year Plan for a high-level applied university in Anhui province as well as the master’s program building in integration and adaptability, which should translate the spirit of National Education Conference into deepening educational reform, activating all-member engagement, and improving the competencies in the transformational domain.

~Truth-seeking & down-to-earth engagement with Xi’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Work Ethic & Conscientiousness in self-direction to propel a high-quality educational development and in self-reinforcement for the eminent career of educating all-round talents featuring more positive social-ethical behaviors in the 21^st century.
