# AXHU Faculty’s Awards and Honors
#Anhui Provincial Higher Education Demo Class series—Ideological and Political Course Teaching Competition
On Aug 7-8, the 2024 Demo Class event on AHUCM main campus was jointly held by the CPC Anhui Provincial Education Commission, Anhui Provincial Education Department, Anhui Provincial Steering Board for Ideological and Political Studies, and Anhui University of Chinese Medicine (AHUCM).
The preliminary round brought together 295 faculty members in 93 higher education institutions across Anhui province, and the 113 qualifiers will compete for the finals, which includes seven competition subjects in the field.
And the Commission has formed the expert judge panel responsible for testing design and proceedings, whose memberships are chosen at random from Anhui Higher Education Talent Pool and other resources.
Successfully, the AXHU School of Marxism instructors WU Zhixian won the first prize and ZHU Yanran second prize.
# 6th National Higher Education Teaching Competition for Young Teachers
With the finals of 6th National Higher Education Teaching Competition for Young Teachers (in the category of electric circuits, signaling, systems and electromagnetic field), which is recognized as one of the 53 state-level professional events of teaching competition for faculty and researchers, and which was also included into the China Association of Higher Education (CAHE) ‘2023 version’, referring to the individuals’ development parameters of teaching skills and innovation research at the general undergraduate universities nationwide.
Co-organized by the MOE-Guided Teaching Committee of Electrical & Electronic Basic Courses, Higher Education Research Institute for Teaching & Textbooks of Electric Circuit and Signal Systems, Higher Education Research Institute for Teaching & Textbooks of Electromagnetic Field, China Higher Education Alliance of Massive Open Online Courses of Electrical and Electronic Technology, and CHINA EDUCATION SOCIETY OF ELECTRONICS, the 2024 capstone event gathered around 100 faculty members with the Chinese tertiary education, such as University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Harbin Institute of Technology, Chongqing University, and Northwestern Polytechnical University.
Historically, the AXHU School of Electronic Engineering/Intelligent Manufacturing faculty ZHAO Yurong and LIU Xuesong, respectively, received the second prize in the areas of Electromagnetic Field and Signal Systems, which was viewed as an indication of their innovative ideas and enabling teaching practices of excellence.
# 5th National Higher Education Teaching Competition for Young Teachers
On Aug 8-10, 2024, the 5th National Higher Education Teaching Competition (East China’s Areas) for Young Teachers (in the category of Fundamentals of Electronic Technology and Electronic Circuit) kicked off at Qingdao University, which was jointly hosted by the Electronic Circuit Teaching & Industry Professionals Committee of Chinese Institute of Electronics, MOE’s Virtual Teaching and Research Center for Course Cluster in Electronic Circuit and Electronic Technology, Association of Electronic Technology in Chinese Universities. And associate professor ZHU Xueling at AXHU School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence earned the third prize.

Recently, the 35th Annual Meeting of Electrical Engineering Theory rolled out at Hubei University of Automotive Technology (HUAT), Wuhan City, China. This event was special for academic exchange and interaction between leading scholars and/or active researchers in the south China’s 11 provinces, which included theme reports, shared findings based on Teaching & Research papers, teaching competition of the basic courseson Electrical concentrations. In the finals, the AXHU School of Electronic Engineering/Intelligent Manufacturing faculty member PENG Xia was awarded a second prize.

# 2024 National Competition for College Students
The finals of 2024 National Comprehensive Business Capacity Competition for College Students came to a close at Central South University, which was co-organized by the China Creative Studies Institute, Business School of Central South University, Shanghai Mdt InfoTech Ltd, and Youth Working Committee of China Creative Studies Institute.
Since its inception on Oct 12, 2023, the program has convened 2,391 teams at 256 higher education institutions of China, such as Lanzhou University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University, Wuhan University, and more. Led by the assistant professors HA Jing and LI Lingling at AXHU, the current students, XIU Ziyan, LAI Guo and ZHANG Anyue, were on an exhilarating venture and won the “Excellence Organizing Award”.
# State-level Competition for College Students
The National College Students’ Innovation Competition in Graphics & Product Information Modeling, also known as “Graphics’ Olympics,” is a state-level top event, which has already become a large-scale, high-level, and high-impact ‘Track’ in this field. On Aug 4, the organizing committee released the prize-awarding lists at the 17th “China Higher Education Cup” competition.
Under the guidance of Instructor ZHOU Lei et al., the AXHU delegation achieved one third prize of the team competition, one first prize of Building Information Modeling (BIM) innovative application, two second prizes and three third prizes of Advanced Graphics Technology, in the Architecture’s domain. In particular, the Architecture undergrads HAN Yuyu and WANG Qing ranked 11th nationwide, which marked their new record in the area of BIM.
# 2024 China Robotics Competition
Recently, the 2024 CHINA ROBOT COMPETITION & ROBOCUP CHINAOPEN (Anhui) set out at Hefei Normal University, which consists of three technical ‘Tracks’ for around 108 teams (of which 4 gold medal teams will join the follow-up state-level competition) with over 20 universities and colleges in Anhui province, such as Anhui University, Hefei University of Technology, and Anhui Xinhua University. Working out through the competitive event, AXHU team earned four first prizes and one third prize of the Innovation & Creativity Engagement and the “Hefei University of Technology” Intelligent Vehicle Challenge.
The RoboCup is officially recognized as an impact academic activity by region, which was initiated by the Chinese Association of Automation in 1999, and is now accredited by RoboCup International Consortium as the one of the five high-powered regional competition events in the world.
# 2024 Siemens Cup China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge (CIMC)
The 18th CIMC (East China) went off successfully. In the six areas, spanning Discrete Industry Automation in logical algorithm, project-based practices and motion control, Information Networking, Design & Optimization for High-End Intelligent Manufacturing Systems, and Open-Ended Research, the 21 AXHU delegations competed and achieved a sweeping success, comprising one Grand Prize, three first prizes, eight second prizes, and nine third prizes, of which one team is eligible for the coming competition at the state level.
# 2024 Anhui Provincial Innovation Competition for College Students
Offered by Anhui Provincial Education Department, the People’s Government of Hefei City, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei University, Hefei Municipal Education Bureau, and more, the 2024 event wrapped up recently
From on-campus preliminary matches to online review at the provincial level to in-person final contest on site, AXHU School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence claimed one gold, four silvers, and six bronzes, and the team leader LI Miao was honored with the title of “Instructor of Excellence”.
# 2024 TI Cup National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest (Anhui)
Recently, 2024 TI Cup National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest came to an end, which was jointly organized by the Anhui Provincial Education Department, the working committee of National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest in Anhui province, and Anhui Normal University, during which AXHU School of Electronic Engineering/Intelligent Manufacturing team bagged one first prize, two second prizes, and five third prizes, which practically presented the school’s remarkable efforts in educational practices and research, as well we the students’ potentials of innovation and creativity in the area of electronic design and application.
# 2024 China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition
The 26th China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition (Anhui) by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, which is widely viewed as one of the most influential events for boosting China’s Robotics & Artificial Intelligence.
And the AXHU School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence teammates braved the challenges and excelled in unbeatable courage, sophisticated skills, and high-efficient team work, and they concluded two second prizes, one third prize, and one ‘Excellent Award’.
# 2024 GUOYUAN SECURITIES Cup
2024 GUOYUAN SECURITIES Cup Anhui Provincial Financial Investment Innovation Competition for College Students sponsored by Anhui Provincial Education Department and Anhui University of Finance and Economics joins the category of Class-B competition in Anhui province.
In this year’s event, AXHU team won 21 first prizes, 36 second prizes, and 36 third prizes, and the total number of awards grows by 21% year on year—ranking 2nd in Anhui province, of which both Financial Investment Strategies Design (27 groups) and Financial Sci-tech Product Design (16 groups) has been ranked the best. Moreover, there are more 14 groups of Listing Feasibility Study than in 2023.
# 2024 Anhui Provincial Creative Design Competition
The organizing committee announced the prize-awarding list of 4th Anhui Provincial College Students’ Creative Design Competition of Quality Culture and Branding, which was hosted by Administration for Market Regulation of Anhui Province, Anhui Provincial Education Department, Anhui Provincial Commission of the Communist Youth League of China, Department of Science and Technology of Anhui Province.
And the AXHU School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence undergraduate students achieved 11 first prizes, 16 second prizes, and 26 third prizes.
# 2024 Chinese Classics Contests
Recently, AXHU students excelled at the 6th Chinese Classics contests—live recitation of classical Chinese literary works (in student or teacher group), and Chinese Script and Arts—and received five first prizes, one second prize, five third prizes, and “Excellence Organizing Award”.
# 2024 CCOM Music Festival for Kids & Teens
2024 Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM) Music Festival for Kids & Teens resonated with themes of “Common Beauty,” during which AXHU faculty and students claimed in the Youth Section: one gold in Folk Music, six silvers in Piano, and one bronze in Vocal Music.
# SAMBO Tournament
The 2nd Chinese College Students’ Sambo Tournament sponsored by the Federation of University Sports of China (FUSC) brought together more than 500 coaches and athletes in over 50 universities and colleges, and AXHU PE faculty ZHU Yaling and CHENG Fei-led student delegation won four golds and one silver.
# TAEKWONDO Championships League
On Jul 20-25, the 18th Chinese Undergraduate Taekwondo Championships by FUSC gathered around over 1,000 players and head coaches in 152 universities and colleges across China, and the Team AXHU harvested one gold, one silver, and one bronze.
# 2024 National Teenagers Games
On Jul 1-8, 2024 National U16 Girls’ Ice Hockey Tournament kicked off at the Hulunbuir Ice Sports Center, and the Team Anhui, which is comprised of players in both the AXHU and the Anhui Hockey Association, makes history, finishing second with 4 victories and 1 defeat.
# 2024 National Teenagers Games
On Aug 24, 2024 National Teenagers’ Dragon Boat Championships (U Series) launched at China Wenzhou Dragon Boat Sports Center. And through 2-day dazzling matches among 36 teams from 15 Chinese provinces (or autonomous regions, municipalities, HKSAR), the bronze medal won AXHU delegation in the U23 Men’s Group-B Section.
