Recently, the 11th National Undergraduate Mechanical Innovational Competition, also known as the Hui-Yu Engineering Tech Innovation Programme 2024 came to a close, and the current students at AXHU School of Electronic Engineering/Intelligent Manufacturing debuted and won a third prize.
As an important event in the field of domestic mechanical innovation competition, it was hosted by the National Undergraduate Mechanical Innovational Design Competition standing committee and was also supported by the National Institute for Teaching and Research of Mechanical Principles, the National Institute for Teaching and Research of Mechanical Design, Metalwork Research Institute, as well as many active members from the famous higher education institutions of China, such as the Army Engineering University of PLA, Shandong University, Guilin University Of Electronic Technology (which were recognized the third prize, respectively).
“The accolade made us obtain a happy, thrilled and grateful experience filled with reminiscence,” AXHU Team leader ZHANG Xiangkai said, “Looking back, we tried our utmost to prepare for this national event while facing unexpected challenges and difficulties. And we benefited from the team members’ concentrated efforts and the whole-hearted help from the faculty.”
“The students’ achievements beyond expectation and their positive evolution made us feel proud and confident, which had stemmed from their concerted, desperate, lasting endeavour over the past years. On the other side, the AXHUers’ real care and active support laid a solid foundation for this competition event,” the team mentor ZHANG Xinhe believed, “They could face and address any new challenges in the future...”
Historically, the School always attaches greater importance to its disciplinary construction and development, and deepens the educational mode of “Three-fold Integration, Six-pronged Presence, Zero Distance,” and highlights the engineering-based practical capacity. The team instructors, such as ZHANG Xinhe, YI Lili and others, conduct the pre-match training and instruction systematically. During the competition, the student competitors take full advantage of creative combination and reconnections -and fully employ the Innovation Experimental Platform to design lots of high-level, innovative, user-friendly product models and win positive recognition from the judge panel too.
