AXHU Research and Practices in Data Science

Feb 29, 2024, International Office

From 10-12 Jan. 2024, the 2ND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON BIG DATA AND PRIVACY COMPUTING (BDPC) was held at the City University of Macau, Macau SAR, China.

Coming from the higher education institutions (or the local research & development institutes) across the globe, including the Southern University of Science and Technology, the Rutgers-The State University of New Jersey, the City University of Macau, the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, the Fuzhou University, the Hainan University, the Guizhou University, the Anhui Xinhua University and more, a large number of scholars and researchers (or high-level professionals by regions) attended this year’s big event.

The AXHU team, including ZHANG Li, CAO Xiaolan, ZHANG Yifan and WANG Xin AXHU, who are studying the AXHU-AHJZU joint master’s program, joined the academic symposium, and delivered the relevant reports: Interpretable MOOC Course Recommendations Based on Reinforcement Knowledge Graph (by ZHANG Yifan); MOOC Session-based Recommendation Algorithm of Multi-Interests (by WANG Xin).

In the global context, the further evolution in the area of big data science-and its applications appeared some pressing challenges of uncertainties at risk, while benefiting the Chinese industrial innovators with the unprecedented transformational opportunities in the real world.

Strategizing the national-level sci-tech development solutions against the fragile, weak, and challenging ‘links’ -and maximizing the current research strengths and the sustainability in big data security for the highly-efficient, safe interfaces growing by regions and countries, this conference was focused on some critical issues based on Big Data algorithm and IoT technology, comprising the applications, services, mining, analysis, processing, inquiry and more, and had built out a high-level international platform—specific for the leading researchers at institutes, higher education academics, engineering project experts, and industry-level technical staff from around the world—of advancing the new discoveries, sharing the recent ideas of academic achievements, and expanding the collaborative cooperation of having access to edge-cutting technology and tools.

Also, the academic gathering brought together a batch of important research reports of excellence, which were respectively addressed by a dozen of impactful scholars in this area, including Prof. Chen Yingying (Jennifer) at Rutgers, also ECE rotating chairmanship (Economic Commission for Europe)-and IEEE (Institute Of Electrical And Electronics Engineers)/NAI (National Academy of Inventors) fellow member; Prof. CHEN Min, the South China University of Technology doctoral programme supervisor, also IEEE/IET(Institution of Engineering and Technology) fellow member; Prof. LIU Ximeng, the Fuzhou University doctoral programme supervisor, also general manager of the Key Labs for Fujian Higher Education Institutions, the director of the Youth Working Committee Research Center for Industrial Data Protection and Information Security Evaluation (of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, P.R.C); Prof. WANG Xiaofen, the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China master’s programme supervisor, also the MOE expert of evaluation and supervision for national higher education master’s programme-and review board member of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

Significantly, this event has created a positive environment of high-quality disciplinary exchange and communication and interaction, which will write a new chapter in the history of AXHU sci-tech research & development in the international horizons.
