AXHU Faculty participate in RICAI 2023

From Dec 1-3, AXHU School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence delegation (comprised of ZHANG Rui, SHEN Juan, SHI Xiangui, WANG Hongxia, WANG Meirong, CHEN Yan, DING Chunling and WANG Qiang) attended the 5th International Conference on Robotics, Intelligent Control and Artificial Intelligence (RICAI), which was held successfully this year in the city of Hanzhou, Zhejiang, China.
Offered/Co-hosted by the Zhejiang Association of Automation, Zhejiang University of Technology, Institute Of Electrical And Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and many of higher education institutions or research academies from around the world, the RICAI 2023 edition highlights some critical issues, core technology, developmental opportunities, as well as industrial potentials in the areas of Robotics, AI and intelligent control, which builds a high-end platform worldwide (via theme speech, research report, posters, and more), known for deepening technical exchange, sharing cutting-edge sci-tech breakthroughs and research approaches, boosting a positive evolution of new technologies and exceptional ideas, by which to automate a cohort of scientific innovations and universally recognizable development within our connected global community.
Magnificently, this event attendees in person include: Chinese Academy of Sciences research fellow/Beihang University Prof. GUO Lei; MOE Department of Science, Technology and Informatization executive member/Beijing University Of Technology Prof. QIAO Junfei; MOE “Yangtze River Scholar”/Huazhong University of Science and Technology Prof. ZENG Zhigang; Canadian Academy of Engineering current fellow/University of Victoria Prof. SHI Yang; MOE “New Century Innovation Talents”/ University of Guelph Prof. YANG Xianyi; MOE “Yangtze River Scholar”/Zhejiang University Prof. SU Hongye; and more.

For this major conference’s presentations and panels, AXHU members delivered their new research findings, respectively: Enhanced Stock Prediction Model Based on BERT Model and STP-GAN Algorithm (by ZHANG Rui), Topic Mining of Alzheimer’s Disease Field Based on BERTopic (SHEN Juan), Student Behavior Recognition Using Video-based Deep Learning (SHI Xiangui), A Complete Feature Matching Fusion Method for Palmprint Recognition (WANG Hongxia), Research of Hybrid Collaborative Filtering Algorithm in Course Recommendation (WANG Meirong), Book Recommendation Algorithm Based on Time Information and Book Feature (CHEN Yan), A Short-term Traffic Flow Forecasting Method Based on SVM-PSO-BP Combined Model (DING Chunling), and Air Pollution Prediction Method Based on Deep Learning (WANG Qiang).
Based on the exchange to keep informed for future editions and co-op with a number of leading fellows across cultures at the landmark international conferences and other off-site disciplinary engagement with the passage of time, AXHU faculty and research fellows prepared themselves with sound knowledge basics in Big Data and Artificial Intelligence for career-long pursuit of making vital impacts and of their own type, if possible, in the world of intelligent control, neural network, deep learning, artificial intelligence, and more.
