AXHU’s RUIHAIⅠfielding at 2023 China innovative robot bootcamp

Launched by AXHU School of Electronic Engineering/Intelligent Manufacturing RUIHANG Engineering team, the RUIHAIⅠUnmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) scores big by winning a second prize at the Robot Competition—2023 National Sci-tech Innovations Robot Bootcamp for College Students, which is the first-ever important breakthrough AXHUers achieved in the field.

 

With the aim of accelerating robot technology research across higher education institutions nationwide, commercializing its innovations, and enhancing college students’ hands-on practice with agile ideas and innovative spirit, this event is intended by both the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, during which AXHU delegation itself is not only fully functioning on venue, but also closely networking at side events with a dozen of leading universities or institutes of China, such as Harbin Institute of Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Tongji University and more. 

 

Through rigid testing, contextualized review, and application-based evaluation, the RUIHAIⅠproject fields in process and surfaces from among approximately 1,000 candidate machines on site, and the robot’s leading-edge solutions, including its creative inspiration, extensive fittings, and excellent performance, are widely recognized by experts, students and peers, such as distinguished research fellow MAO Ming with the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

 

To date, the Team has become a specific Presence, which is just consisted of the current undergraduate students, featuring among China higher education institutions, and moreover, a highest-ever research cohort in Anhui province to build the USV-related repository, which has effectively addressed the existing problematic tasks and real-world issues as it can, such as environmental monitoring, security patrolling, emergency rescue, covering the full waters of Chaohu lake, and will get ahead to accelerate AI-empowered products and applications in the areas of water transportation system and its digital communication services across Anhui province and beyond.
