Recently, the Information Security and Countermeasures Contest (ISCC) office announced the list of 2023 ISCC awardees, and AXHU School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence team work, which includes its current undergraduates, WEI Xingyu, CHAI Hua and WANG Hailiang, and the faculty member QI Xiaoxia (academic advisor and instructor), historically won a third prize at the national competition event.

As known, the ISCC was a groundbreaking design and planning in the area of Cyberspace Science and Technology across China, which joined the 2023 National Higher Education Competition Catalogue, also one of the 84 MOE disciplinary competition programs. This event includes 13,000 candidates from 1,200 illustrious public sectors, universities and colleges (as of 1 Jun 2023, 3072 institutions of higher education in China), such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, National University of Defense Technology, and more. 

Its feature content is centered at the ‘offense/defense’ simulation in cyberspace and the mega-scale information security of ‘battling for highland’ (incl. Options and Access, Game Clear and Passport, Conquer and Control), during which every contestant in ‘factions’ (who ranks first in their singles events before) shall be playing at the utmost level, while being confronted with the fierce, complex and dynamic environments, and thus, whose solid fundamental knowledge, flexible and purposeful operations, and uncommon resilience & courage will have the final say—whether to reach their apex or not—in, or after, this high-tech edge-cutting activities (from which those AXHUers have tested and realized what they believe in, successfully).   

Through this event, the School undergraduate students’ abilities in practical application and innovations have been recognized widely and positively. Meanwhile, they will jump at this opportunities (as exemplary roles) to communicate information security knowledge and raise present-day individuals’ safety awareness on campus, and their professional skills and creative thinking and comprehensive quality make the running on AXHU action tracks, so as to prepare much more high-level professionals of Network Engineering for hi-tech industries from around the globe.
