To meet our alumni and opportunities 

at Anji, Zhejiang province

On Nov 10, at the invitation of both the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the CPC at Anji county and the Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, AXHU working group (incl. the staff with AXHU Department for Students’ Affairs, AXHU Alumni Office, and more) led by the assistant president SHAO Ling visited some enterprises and business sectors at Anji county, east China’s Zhejiang province, which aims at meeting our alumni, deepening University-Enterprise cooperation by the outreach programs, and channeling the opportunities and resources for the high-quality career development of the AXHU undergraduate students ’24.

Along with the Bureau’s superintendent, they visited the local big-name enterprises such as Henglin Home Furnishings Co., Ltd., ue Yong Yi, and more, and received their warm-hearted welcome and hospitality. During that, they have a deeper communication regarding the enterprises’ opportunities and challenges, core business modules, talents (or research experts) of developing and channeling, etc.

As evidence, “AXHU has and will open the ‘partner-as-you-wish’ windows with more options for the social manufacturing sectors and R&D engagement,” Shao elaborated. “So, our two-party cooperation can address certain ‘mileage thresholds’ for the supply-and-demand of talents mattering in the long term, and integrate the new information and data from the leading businesses into driving a vibrant, strategic, and ecological evolution of higher education, so as to envision a win-win-win future, together, (of regional economy and culture, enterprises and businesses, and higher education organizations) in the areas of education and training, employment and entrepreneurship, shared resources, and much more.

Constructively, the delegation attended a job fair named “10,000 prospects @1000 positions @100 Enterprises @10 Cities,” where AXHU and Anji County People’s Government signed a protocol of co-building the Base for College Students Training and Internships and discussed to shape such a deeper cooperative structure covering educating, channeling, and employment, and AXHU faculty member SUN Shanhan as a visiting expert at the field event was lecturing a theme subject of ‘Career Development & Reskilling’ for those job seekers on site.

Later, all group members paid a visit to the AXHU alumnus, ’13, LI Tuanjie, who headed for Anji nestled in the picturesque mountains, a cradle of business start-ups in China, and in 2016 he began to venture his business, Yide Furniture, which is focused on research, manufacturing, and marketing of office chair, sofa, Gaming chair, etc. Facing his former teachers from AXHU, Li emotionally tells his bitter and sweet stories over the course of individual early career development after graduation, extends his grateful thanks to AXHU faculty and staff, and makes heartfelt wishes to the future AXHU.   

This is a milestone activity “to meet our alumni and opportunities,” is a new chapter of AXHU to stitch all strengths and innovative ideas together in a service of the full, high-quality employment highways in the year to come, and is to design an integral, high-end platform to support the career development of AXHU undergraduates, ’24.
