Promote international exchange & cooperation and high-quality educational development—AXHU delegation led by Xinhua Group President WU Junbao to Mongolia’s institutions of higher education

From 21-28 Jul 2023, to fully implement China’s Belt and Road Initiative, inject impetus to the high-quality development of higher learning, put the mission of “Xinhua Education Is for Country and Chinese People” into place, and expand the access to international educational exchange and cooperation, Wu-led AXHU delegation, which includes the AXHU assistant president Wang Qijin, International Exchange and Cooperation Office director XU Ming, Students’ Affairs Department director RUI Ping, and executive dean of AXHU School of Culture and Communication HONG Yu, paid a visit to its relevant partner institutions at Mongolia, including IDER University, Mongolian National University, CITI University of Mongolia, Mongolia International University, as well as Gegentala Group headquarters.

During the time of this foreign visitation after the pandemic at the four universities above, the delegation has always been receiving and feeling their friendly welcome and considerate hospitality.

At IDER University, the delegation members visit its main campus and training bases and both parties absolutely confirmed such-and-such achievements and positive impacts of the field trip at AXHU conducted by the president Dr. Zorigt and his fellows before. Hereby, the summer programs—International Study at AXHU—specific for IDER’s faculty, students and administrators have been successfully fulfilled based on two items on the cooperative agenda reached by both parities in May, 2023, which sees another new milestone of co-building to drive the China-Mongolia constructive evolution in the area of higher education at AXHU community. At a seminar, they reach a newer consensus of constructing a broader platform of learning, teaching and research in relation to disciplinary cooperation and academic exchange, as well as intercultural experiences in the potential fields of International Economics and Trade, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Automation, Computer Science and Technology, Culture Communication, and more. After that, they also revisit its faculty, staff and students returning to IDER (who have completed the tasks of 2023 AXHU Summer Programs in China), and President Wu and his counterpart Dr. Zorigt jointly inaugurate the IDER-AXHU Center for Chinese Language Education on IDER campus, by which to deepen mutual understanding, to stay a long term of connectivity, interactivity and productivity, and to make a bulk of massive contributions to improve China-Mongolia educational cooperation and cultural exchange to the next level.  

At Mongolian National University (MNU), the chairman of its board of trustees meets the visiting AXHUers, and they discuss case-by-case in regard to establishing strategic partner relations between universities, carrying out the concrete cooperative projects, and shaping a collaborative prospect via longtime innovation mechanism. At last, they reach and sign the MNU-AXHU Memorandum of Cooperation and Exchange.

Also, the delegation visits UK-funded CITI University of Mongolia and South Korea-invested Mongolia International University, during which it has investigated the current international investment environment and established policies of Mongolia and learned about the potentials and expectations of local candidate students as well as academic edge and interest of their faculty and staff.

Additionally, a lineup of collateral cooperative agreements related to the programme “International Study at AXHU” have signed up after meeting and negotiating with a selection of the local prospective icons or pre-professional training bases with foresight.

After finishing the tour at Gegentala Group, on behalf of Anhui Xinhua Group, Wu extended his heartfelt gratitude to their warm-hearted reception and guest services and the other generous curators’ information packages while visiting there as well. According to the cross-boarder economic cooperative and developmental initiatives created by its president MU Ren, Wu assures that our Commons should timely, actively and inclusively implement a range of scientific survey and thoughtful investigation to address the opportunities and challenges facing us in the time to come and then effectively stage the co-accredited workflows and standards (incl. other additional details) to greatly benefit China-Mongolia economic construction and educational development in the new era.

This is a milestone activity of representing what all the international partners and colleagues involved had had been at the back of their minds to collectively achieve over the past years. The breakthroughs in the areas of global educational resources, sci-tech innovation, talents cultivation, intercollegiate cooperation of teaching and research, and intercultural communication, can increase, to a greater extent, AXHU’s international impacts and the national values, and the AXHU will be committed itself to the cause of high-level educational construction and international development based on the Belt and Road Initiative of China.
