From Jun 20-Jul 4, to increase cross-ethnical friendships and culturally in-depth understanding between China-Mongolia people, expand AXHU international educational engagement and impacts, and effect AXHU-IDER International Students Enrollment Agreement, the 2023 International Summer Camp (for 25-member IDERers) kicked off on AXHU campus, which was ceremonially launched by AXHU assistant president Wang Qijin, along with other relevant heads with the Students’ Affairs Department, Logistics Department, and International Exchange and Cooperation Office.

During this summer event, those students, faculty and staff from Mongolia are very content with the study planning and field trips at AXHU and its neighbouring historical and cultural scenic spots, including AXHU schools’ labs and training centers, Anhui Museum, Anhui Museum of Historical Notables, Huangshan Mountain, Swan Lake, Hefei Binhu Wetland Park, and more.

For widely spreading the essence of Chinese national culture and tradition, besides a short course Foundational Chinese Language mainly training for their simpler language communication capacity, they had had remarkable experiences of China-typified cultural heritage in the real world, such as paper-cutting, Chinese calligraphy, Tai Chi, Facial Makeup in Beijing Opera and the Theater & Drama, which greatly ignited their aspiration for learning Chinese language and getting to know Chinese tradition and China today’s humanities, sciences and social evolution.

In closing, all the visiting members in this programme positively recognized its effects and values. “We are thrilled at what AXHU is, which has the state-of-the-art study areas and modern teaching facilities and comfortable living conditions. After experiencing in person on site, it is my best option and opportunity with ambition and wisdom to conduct the following ‘International Study at AXHU’,” Chantsal said, the current first-year of IDER University. To date, there are more than 30 Mongolian candidate students who have registered and been admitted into the AXHU-IDER “1+3” Programme and they will become a newer enrollment of incoming international students of full-time study in residence at AXHU in Sept 2023.
