Both the recent anti-pandemic moves and 2022 Online Thesis Defence at the School of Accounting and Finance progress orderly and smoothly

To guarantee a full completion of the 2022 undergrads’ graduation, being in accord with the scheduling and work guideline stipulated by AXHU administration, the School of Accounting and Finance, during April 27- May 1, hosted an online “Cloud” Thesis Defence for the graduating students in the situation of the current COVID-19 outbreaks.

A well-prepared, scientifically-arranged operation

Owing to the resurging COVID-19, in order to bring this thesis defence to life, the School attaches a great importance to it and then establishes a special academic panel—for a closed-loop maneuverability—, drafts the work scheme and contingency plan, and makes a thoughtful preparations in online organizing and processing, virtual rehearsal, technological devices, circulating the concrete requests and up-to-date reminders among the degree applicants via the popular Social Networking Softwares, Tencent QQ and Alibaba DingTalk. Each thesis defence division grouped in specialties has underwent an online “trial operation,” so as to make this work go off smoothly.

Processing in order; supervising in detail

From the afternoon of April 27 on, 1002 undergraduates on aggregate are divided into 9 work groups, majoring in Financial Management, Accounting, Auditing, Economics and Finance, Internet Finance, etc., to have a thesis defence online, respectively. At first, the thesis/Practice Report designers are required to make a representation referring to his or her PPT sharing online for in-group discussion. And the professors and thesis instructors correspondingly present their questions on the basis of the students’ theoretical research and findings, and then provide some constructive suggestions of how to better his or her thesis paper in academic genre, logically-developed research, text formatting and cover designing, etc.. As such, this online thesis defence is commensurate with the ideal outcomes that the usual processing offline can produce. Finally, this online “Cloud” thesis defence successfully comes to an end. Moreover, these graduating students express their own gratitude to the members of the academic panel.

To work out in continuum and in unison

Seeing from the recent resurgence of COVID-19 pandemic, both the teaching affairs of the staff members’ and graduating students’ thesis paper writing turn to the online “Cloud” platform, which not only secures the students’ safety and wellness, but also fully completes the thesis defence-related work for the graduating students. To follow up, according to the the overall planning of AXHU administration, the School will try its utmost to proactively complete the remaining tasks, concerning bachelor's degree granting, commencement ceremony, or other celebrating events special for the class of 2022.
