The School of Urban Construction of AXHU is awarded “National May 4th Red Flag League” by the Communist Youth League Central Committee of China

The year 2022 marks the 100^th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC). Recently, the honor roll of “China’s Dual Excellence”—Red Flag Chinese Communist Youth League Committee and Red Flag Communist Youth League; Excellent Communist Youth League Member and Excellent Communist Youth League Cadre—is unveiled, and the School of Urban Construction is included on the list. Historically, it is the first time AXHU wins this honor, and also is the just only laureate university of Anhui provincial higher education in 2022.

Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the youth should make headway in new era

In December 2019, the School of Urban Construction bags an honorable title awarded by Anhui provincial Communist Youth League Committee: the “Outstanding Team” of Anhui provincial student volunteers from the universities, junior colleges or polytechnics for summertime social practice—serving the rural residents by disseminating the general knowledge in culture, science and technology, and hygiene in the countryside. And the school is home to “Anhui Provincial May 4th Red Flag League” by Anhui Provincial Communist Youth League Committee in May 2020, and the “Outstanding Team” of the student volunteers for summertime social practice in rural areas by Chinese Communist Youth League Central Committee in October 2020.

“Honestly, I volunteered to undertake some works that I can do for the current COVID-19 prevention and containment in the local community,” demanded an undergraduate named Li Qibao, also the AXHU Star Student Featuring Self-improvement and the May 4th Young Pacesetter. Additionally, the severe flooding is threatening people’s life and property safety in July 2020, Bi Haoran, a current student of AXHU, bravely participated in the flood control and disaster-relief work as a college student volunteer, being with his righteous ardour and enthusiasm to beacon other young people to take on their historically glorious missions for the Chinese nation. The Chinese Communist Youth League Committee of the School of Urban Construction highlights the meritorious deeds of these leading models to mobilize more and more Chinese Communist Youth League members to learn from and cultivate a lofty idea, to carry forward the spirit of selfless dedication, to stay true to the original aspiration and mission, and to step up efforts to realize the Chinese Dream in the new era.

The Party building to accelerate the development of the Chinese Communist Youth League; Being in College students’ prime

While reinforcing the fundamental work and exploring some new approaches, the committee of School of Urban Construction quickens its pace to create a significantly-effective body. Themed on the Party building to accelerate the development of the Chinese Communist Youth League; Being in College students’ prime, the body correspondingly carried out an array of Group Learning activities, in which its members got positively involved, and by which it zoomed in the “brand effect.” 

In 2021, combining with the Party history learning and Labor Education, the committee of School of Urban Construction organizes some volunteer service activities. And all the members with its every division actively participate in and formulate a series of modules, including Red-themed research and study, contributing to the Party’s construction, staying true to the solid leadership of the CPC and advancing side by side, A Spray of Flower to Our Party, To Construct and Beautify Our Campus, A Little Flower Garden Is under Construction at the School of Urban Construction, Learning the Party History in Festival Days, Four-pronged Labor Education in Winter Break, A Quadruple Standard of Habitations—to reserve a clean, green, elegant and graceful environment at both classroom and dormitory, Thematic Education: Never Forget the Party History and Reminisce about the Revolutionary Martyrs, Recitation Contest Themed Reading Centennial Classics and Inheriting the Red Original Aspiration, and so on.

Viewing from some details of the events, the vibrant young members are earnestly practicing their vows to the Party—“I am committed to co-building a strong, modern China, unwaveringly.”

Being under the solid leadership of the CPC, to strive forward on a new journey

With a perseverance of the moral cultivation and ideal faith education to foster talented youth, based on a philosophy of co-building the Party and the League, the Committee of the School of Urban Construction makes coordinated effects, forges ahead, and broadens its horizon, aiming to form a learning-, service- and innovation-styled work pattern, to effect the guiding role of the grassroots committee, and to exploit some new methods in reform.　　

Over the past few years, the Chinese Communist Youth League of AXHU Committee under the solid leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Anhui Xinhua University Committee struggled forward in tandem, and consolidated its grassroots constructions through a project of “Youth navigating, Youth supporting, Youth empowering and Youth catalyzing” to help and escort the youngsters to move ahead with the educators’ endeavors, sincerity, and benevolence. To be clear, the grassroots bodies and the student cadres are acting as an unparalleled role as cornerstone, leading model, or pioneer.

The aspiration summoning,

To embark on a giant vessel in harbor;

Against biting cold headwind and billowed waves,

To sail voyage, thousands and thousands of miles.

Morrow, we anchor off another place,

Where we were longing.

In 2022, standing on a new starting point, AXHU students are in position and are ready to start up another tough journey. The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) approaching, AXHU faculty and staff do solemnly pledge, “Remaining true to the original aspiration and devoting to the higher education of China.”
