On April 13 2022, in order to reduce its negative impact as much as possible on the career programming of 2022, the AXHU Center for Career coupled with the Qian Cheng Wu You (51Job), a China online portal for the Human Resource Service, conducted an online employment instruction. This virtual event invited Ms. Chen Hui, a national second-class psychological counselor to livestream for the current senior students (class of 2022).

Centered on a hot topic of how to design or redesign career and land a job in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, Chen presents a multilayered social investigation and systematic demonstration from the aspects, e.g., personal career option when facing resurging COVID, gearing up for tomorrow’s challenges, and the actual expectations of the job market. To be specific, she vividly illustrated a series of defining factors related to a job hunting, involving the occupational characteristics, social functions and mission, regional economy, etc., and suggested that the college students might make a well preparation in physiological adaptation, resume design, warm-up for job interview, so as to find a niche in society. While livestreaming, many students passionately post their own opinions and conduct Q&A interaction online with the lecturer. After that, the attendees reach a consensus, expressing that this mega class broadens the graduates’ horizon to have a vision: the more rational planning the employee makes in the current situation, the more confident she or he becomes. And the unanticipated difficulties can be resolved in the near future.

This online career class tailored for the AXHU graduates of 2022 aims to help them have a clear-cut mindset to address the potential problems induced by the COVID resurgence, find out some practicable solutions, be on a good psychological trend, and make a thoughtful preparation for seeking job. In the coming days, the AXHU Center for Career continues to organize the relevant online classes, so as to secure the graduates to enjoy a promising career development.
