//* Intro to AXHU School of Pharmacy

 

Started in 2001, the precursor of the School is AXHU Faculty of Pharmacy, which is renamed the AXHU School of Pharmacy in 2007.

 

Today, it covers three sub-branches—Pharmaceutical Engineering Department, Pharmaceutical Science Department and Health Management Department—working on four undergraduate programs, i.e., Pharmaceutical Preparation, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Engineering, and Health Services and Management.

 

In 2008, its subject scaling in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Preparation scores excellence in the disciplinary placement—ranking No.1 across the non-medical colleges and universities of Anhui provincial higher education.

 

And in 2020, its programme of Pharmacy is shortlisted for the Provincial-level First-Class Undergraduate Construction Institution.

So far, the School has built up 25 laboratories, which cover 2,760 square meters, comprising TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) Digital Specimen Laboratory, Pharmaceutical Preparation Laboratory, Pharmaceutical Quality Control Laboratory, and remarkably, 4 clinical investigation & services (in Simulation Pharmacy, Plant Tissue Culture, Biological Product Research and Development, Biomedical Engineering) have been co-founded with the leading industries’ impacts and working knowledge, comprising the HANGZHOU ZHONGMEI HUADONG PHARMACEUTICAL CO., LTD., CHIATAI TIANQING (CTTQ), Anhui Anke Biotechnology (Group) Co., Ltd., Anhui Zhifei Longcom Biopharmaceutical Co.,Ltd., GUOSHENG PHARMACY, Ningbo Menovo Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., CHEER FINE PHARMACEUTICAL CO., LTD., etc.

 

In recent years, it has established 21 centers for professional training and internships, and 1 strategic alliance of Industy-University-Research cooperation with the Anhui Institute of Application, by which to jointly educate a large number of high-quality applied talents for the present and for the future generations.

 

Adhering to the innovation mindset of “Needs-Based, Niches-Oriented, Positive Development Featuring Industry-University Integration,” in the context of Anhui Provincial pharmaceutical industries and public health sectors, with cultivation patterns specifically tailored for the career expectations of individuals, the School always exercises the guideline of “People-centered Education for the People , Wholehearted Services for Society,” with which to prepare numerous high-level, applied undergraduate students of Responsibility, Adeptness and Expertise, Benevolence and Dedication in pharmaceutical industries.

 

Through years of commitments and endeavour, the undergraduate education quality, step by step, is improved effectively to shape a big picture for the future medical services excellence.

 

Over the past years, its academic achievements include: 1 provincial-level education program of leading engineers, 1 provincial-level pilot specialty for comprehensive education reform, 1 provincial-level demo experiment and training center, 2 provincial-level Maker labs for university students, 1 provincial-level teaching team, 1 provincial-level Famous Teachers workshop, 5 provincial-level Quality courses (or MOOC), 21 AXHU-wide Quality courses (incl. innovative reform in teaching methodology, onboarding programs of between university and enterprise, and much more), 1 college-level key discipline construction of Medicinal Chemistry, AXHU Institute of pharmacology, AXHU-wide University-Enterprise Training Base, 1 AXHU-wide research team.

 

Through five-year efforts, the academic staff have written and published more than 25o research papers (of which, 16 SCI/EI, 50 Level-B, 110 Level-C) and 30+ textbooks, and performed 80+ projects of teaching and research at different levels, 14 national-level invention patents and 13 new applied patents. 

 

The School’s administrative body highlights the students’ all-round quality and competence in extensive application and specific innovation (by building up an array of student organizations, e.g., Chinese Herb Medicine Society, Health and Fitness Association, YaoYuan Chemistry Club, Maker-Dream-Factory, communicating health knowledge and advising sessions, and practical skills competition, and engagement with all kinds of volunteer services or social activities for public good).

 

In the recent three years, the students earned more than 59 provincial-level awards and accolades, such as the China College Students’ “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the “Challenge Cup,” the Chemistry Competition for College Students, Biological Specimen Making Competition, obtained 62 training projects of the provincial-level innovation and entrepreneurship for university students, the one-off employment rate is up 90% upon graduation (classes of 202o, 2021, 2022).

 

The graduating students’ success regarding the specialty-oriented, high-quality employment is nothing but the excellence of their own solid theoretical foundations, real-world solution, on-demand applications, real-time adjustment and adaptation, who are highly sought after by the employers or work units.

 

 

Feature and Edges

 

For innovative actions on Customized Education Mode and of building a new disciplinary system in Pharmacy, i.e, the degree’s core requirements and deep learning in specialized courses and professionally training, hereby, every student is to take at least one of the core technologies to be empowered and get ahead at industry level.

 

The “Five-In-One Practical Enforcement Grounding” is in place—1 Training Space alongside 5 Working Stations in which to scale and fulfil gradient evaluation and assessment (5-level in all)—to assist and mentor the current pharmacy undergraduate students to challenge the opportunities within the officially conferred accreditation system, so as to build connections and engage with the production and research and innovation at social businesses and enterprises.

 

Overall, the students’ employability stay good and the employed rate reaches 95% on average. According to the survey/questionnaires sampling from a wide range of employers or work units, the graduating students’ academic fundamentals and abilities in application and innovation are performing either at a higher level or even of excellence. The master’s programme admission is up 20 % of the total graduating students each year—in particular, 24.7% in 2021, 21.2% in 2022.

Objective. This specialized program is to educate high-level applied pharmacy students, who can be engaged with the marketing, management, parses, accreditation, scientific pull requests, etc., in the areas of drug production, medical delivery and clinical pharmacy.

Pharmacology; Biochemistry; Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Natural Medicinal Chemistry; Pharmaceutical Analysis; Pharmaceutics; Pharmacy Administration, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry (incl. # Specialization in Pharmaceutical Preparation

This program is to prepare the high-quality applied talents, who can perform the formula design, producing process, quality control, research and development in the fields of pharmacy, food, and chemicals (incl. cosmetics)

 

Objective. This program is to cultivate a large quantity of high-level applied talents  characterizing both withMoral, Intelligence, Wellness, Esthetic, Diligence and more and  with solid foundations of theories, transformational knowledge and enabled skills, who can be engaged with reform and innovation in production technology, quality control, crafts design, research and development at the industries or other ramifications of Pharmacy and Chemicals/Makeups.

 

Standards.The pharmacy undergraduate students are to be trained on the basis of disciplinary principles of theories and knowledge as planned and will be coached to expand their capacities fitted into the medicine producing, crafts design, research and development in the fields of Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmaceutics, Medicinal Stuff and Drug Packaging, etc.

This programme aims to educate batches of high-quality working professionals who are competent in technological development, engineering design, production technology and quality management (of drug, pharmaceutic excipient or adjuvant, medical intermediate, etc.) at the industries of pharmacy and chemical engineering.

 

Objective. This program is to cultivate a large number of high-level applied talents featuring both Moral, Intelligence, Wellness, Esthetic, Diligence... and stronger competencies in theories and practices, knowledgeable transformation or expertise in the area of Pharmaceutical Engineering, as well as with a cultivation of professional ethos, social responsibility, product-quality awareness, who can be engaged with the drugs production, technological development, or applied research and management at the sectors of pharmacy, biochemical engineering, fine chemistry.

 

Standards. This specialty education will assist the current students not only to obtain their fundamental theories and knowledge, but also to increase their hands-on abilities via the experiment courses or internships or field work, getting involved in the development, design, production and management of Pharmaceutical Engineering.

Bachelor’s Degree in Management

 

This program will educate the undergraduate students to become well-qualified for the relevant works at the medical departments, public health organization, fitness and wellness industries, healthcare administrations, etc.

 

Objective.This programme is to be suited for the conceptual transformation of health and wellness industries in new era and to meet their intrinsic demands and expectations while developing themselves on all fronts. Thus, the graduating students should be of Moral, Intelligence, Wellness, Esthetic, Diligence, and the like, and they, on the other side, will showcase their higher-standard, comprehensive professional qualification or something excellence, involving individuals’ vision and value, skills and techniques, coordination and communication, innovation and breakthroughs in workplaces.

Having a foundation of theories and knowledge and professional skills, the early-careers can well engage in the businesses and tasks, such as healthcare and disease prevention & control, scientific operations in health management and services and much more, at the Health Service departments and Management bodies.

 

Standards. The undergraduate students should learn about the working knowledge and creative concepts of clinical medicine and medicinal management, to consolidate the basics of theories and methods in the Western Medicine and Chinese Traditional Medicine, and to automate disciplinary productivity and practicalities for operations affiliated to the Management Science, Big Data, Information Technology, Laws and Regulations on Pharmaceutical Practices.

With great care and ever-increasing support of the leaders at different levels, through sustainable endeavour of the faculty, students and staff, and within an ambience of sound, orderly teaching and learning and research, the “young” School is stepping up the journey as planned with its steady strides and historic tradition in pharmaceutical sciences, by which to remain committed itself to establishing high-level aspirations for Tomorrow’s AXHU community.

 

Pharmacy Seminar Series. Regularly, the School administration invites and organizes the renowned scholars of pharmacy to discover the fabric of new medicines and the connectivity between modern sciences and medicinal materials for the fellows on campus, so as to ignite their interests in enterprise-ready R&D issues and be aligned with the dynamics in pharmaceutical fields.

 

Moreover, these professional specialists and elites from the social industries respectively take the floor at AXHU academic forum to share their own pristine experiences of business start-ups and understanding of the current challenges and on-boarding opportunities and to inspire the current students to be fully- and proactively- prepared for the next career.

 

Health & Wellness Publicity. Based on the events of health knowledge promotion, “Five-Animal Exercises” (by China’s ancient doctor Huatuo, 145-208), epidemic prevention and control, “Tea Art” performance, after-class field sports and more, this program is to disseminate the significance and impacts of maintaining a good physical and psychological status to all-AXHU community members who are pursuing their academic careers at school. Meanwhile, the current pharmacy students will and can shoulder the magnificent responsibilities and act on mission as the prospective medical practitioners to serve for all-people health and welfare.

 

Medication & Hygienic Knowledge Communication. For an improvement of AXHU-wide medicinal safety awareness and the level of pharmaceutical sciences to create healthy, orderly and friendly community, the pharmacy students, through some events and activities, integrate the specialized theories with customized field work or internships, by which to ensure their higher-standard professional competence and performance in the settings of social practices. 

 

 

Leading Academic Staff

 

SONG Zu-rong

Song Zurong宋祖荣, professor of CTM, assistant dean of AXHU School of Pharmacy, certified doctor, senior health manager, whose academic interest and specialism is in the area of CTM-based treatment and prevention in encephalopathy, teaches content courses to the undergraduate students, including Human Anatomy Physiology, Intro to Traditional Chinese Medicine, Clinical Medicine Outline, etc., chairs a number of research events in teaching and research: 3 key projects of the Natural Sciences Foundations of Anhui Provincial Education Department; 1 key project of International Academic Research Visiting Fellowship (for Outstanding Young Skeleton Teachers of Higher Education Institutions) sponsored by University of Science and Technology of China (USTC); 3 key projects of Educational Quality Engineering of Anhui Provincial Education Department; 1 AXHU Research Team Grant, and has published more than 10 papers accepted and published on the second-class journals or above.

 

DAI Yi

DAI Yi戴一, professor of Medicinal Chemistry, certified doctor, USTC doctorate, was born and raised in Lixing county, Anhui province. In Jul 2003, Dai received the bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Anhui University of Chinese Medicine and in Jul 2009, the master’s in Medicinal Chemistry from Shandong University, and then joined AXHU faculty.

 

Currently, Dai is named Teaching Group Leader for the course Pharmacy, also leading lecturer of Medicinal Chemistry, whose academic interests and specialism focus on the structural modification of active natural products and the synthesis of chemical drug.

 

The academic outputs include: 3 provincial-level projects—serving as director (project number: KJ2012Z136; KJ2016A301; KJ2019A0873), 2 AXHU-wide teaching projects—serving as director (project number: 2011jy005; 2017jxtdx08), and 2 AXHU-wide research projectsserving as director (project number: 2011zr008; 2014zr016).

 

Over the past five years, Dai has published 12 papers as the lead author (of which, 2 First-class, 2 Second-class, and 8 Third-class). And the awards, fellowships and grants comprise: the third prize at AXHU Multimedia Courseware Competition, the National-level Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Programmeserving as the mentor (respectively, in 2012, 2013, and 2014), AXHU Graduating Papers Excellence Awardserving as the supervisor (respectively, in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2018), recipient of AXHU 2019 Most Popular Teachers Award.

 

WEI Qiang

WEI Qiang卫强, professor of Pharmacy, certified doctor, TCM pharmacist, was born and raised in Feixi county, Anhui province, obtained his bachelor’s degree from the Anhui University of Chinese Medicine and master’s from the Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine. Mostly, Wei conducts the research and teaching practices in the areas of Introductory Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Culture, Natural Medicinal Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, etc.

 

The academic outputs, research projects (working as director), grants and awards include: Higher Education Top Talents Grant by Anhui Provincial Education Department, 4 key projects of Natural Sciences Research Foundation of Anhui Provincial Education Department; Provincial-level First-Class Majors Planning, Provincial-level Quality Courses Sharing Programme, Provincial-level Pilot Majors for Comprehensive Teaching Reform; over 60 papers of teaching and scientific research (of which, 10 SCI/EI, 5 MEDLINE, and 25 CSCD); 1 monograph, 1 provincial-level planned textbook, 1 provincial-level first-class textbook; 7 invention patents; 1 third prize of Anhui Provincial Teaching Achievements Awards, AXHU Advanced Individual Accolade, AXHU Moral Model Teachers, AXHU Outstanding Research Fellows, 1 first prize at the 1st AXHU-wide Innovative Teaching Competition, as well as the second or third prizes at the “Challenge Cup” competition (4-time working as student-contestant’s mentor).

 

TAO A-li

TAO A-li陶阿丽, professor of Chemical Science, recipient of Anhui Provincial Famous Teacher Award, received her master’s degree in Inorganic Chemistry from the Anhui Normal University and then joined AXHU School of Pharmacy in 2007.

 

Currently, Tao is named the Teaching Group Leader for course Basic Chemistry and teaches other content courses such as Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Basic Chemistry Experiment, etc., and research projects Tao spearheads include: the MOOC project funded by Anhui Provincial Education Department (project number: 2016mooc194), the pedagogical research project of Anhui Provincial Education Department—Anhui Provincial Applied Undergraduate Universities Alliance Base Building to Underpin a Blend of Instructions on Quadruple Chemical Experiment(project number: 2014jyxm411), the key project of the Supportive Planning of Anhui Provincial Education Department for the Excellent Young Faculty of Higher Education Institutions (project number: gxyqZD2016395), the projects in teaching reform of AXHU-wide Educational Quality Engineering: Inorganic Chemistry;Organic Chemistry, AXHU-wide project in teaching research: Research and Practice of Open Chemistry Basics Experiment (project number: 2009jy003).

NIE Kang-ming

NIE Kangming聂康明, male, professor, USTC decorate of Science, postdoctoral fellow with Japan Society For Promotion Science (JSPS), supervisor of the Master’s/Doctoral Degree programs, Communist Party of China (CPC) member, adjunct research fellow of the Environment-Responsive Polymer Materials at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, recipient of JSPS Special Research Grant Fellowships, working professor at the Kyoto Institute of Technology (engaging in the project: Research on Micro/Nano Condensed Matter Structure Control of Multi-phase Polymer and Its Application into Photoelectric Materials), special reviewer/expert affiliated to the international publications or national academic administrations, such as the Journal of Biomedical Materials Research Part A, the Environmental Science & Technology, the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center of the MOE (for the evaluation of Dissertations for Master’s and Doctoral Degree).

 

Remarkably, Nie working as the leader or member has been engaged with a number of projects (or sub-items) sponsored by the National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program), the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Natural Science Foundation of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Anhui Provincial Natural Science Foundation, Natural Science Foundation of the Department of Science and Technology of Anhui Province, Natural Science Foundation of the Department of Education of Anhui Province, etc., and published over 60 papers (of which, 50 SCI/EI) on the international or China-owned core journals, including the Soft Matter, Macromolecules, Polymer, Journal of Polymer Science. CHEN Qin

CHEN Qin陈勤, professor, doctor of medicine, supervisor of master’s degree program, deputy director of the Key Laboratory of Chinese Herbal Medicine Research and Development in Anhui Province (affiliated to the Anhui Medical University), executive member of the Anhui Society for Cell Biology, member of Chinese Pharmaceutical Association (CPA), member of Chinese Pharmacological Society, appointed expert serving for the evaluation and assessment at the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China (of CTM-based programs), Department of Science and Technology of Anhui Province, Department of Education of Anhui Province, Anhui Province Nutritional Health Food & Cosmetics Association, Hefei Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center of the MOE (of education quality system), is currently engaged with  teaching and research in the areas of TCM preparations, Parses of TCM Effective Ingredients, Herbal Pharmacology, Molecular Cell Biology, TCM New Medicine Research and Development, and among others, and has published over 138 papers on the international or China-wide journals, written 2 monographs—Research Methods for Anti-Senility Experiment; Research & Development of TCM Health and Beauty Products, and earned 2 invention patents—Household Multifunctional Beauty Instrument; TCM Therapy for Chronic Pelvic Inflammatory Disease—and 1 new practical patent—Multifunctional Analgesic Instrument, all of which are granted by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA).

 

And Chen working as the chair has completed 2 national R&D projects of CTM new medicine and is now serving as the chair or member for another 15 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Natural Science Foundation of the Department of Science and Technology of Anhui Province, and Natural Science Foundation of the Department of Education of Anhui Province, as well as teaches the content courses to undergraduate students, including Cell Biology, Cell Engineering, Biochemistry, Molecular Neurobiology, Pharmacology, Healthy Living and Disease Prevention—which is selected as the AXHU-wide Best Public Class in General Education and Prof Chen is awarded the Most Popular Teacher by the current students at AXHU.

 

Moreover, Chen has spearhead a series of high-quality academic courses: Cell Biology (on the Anhui provincial level); Healthy Living and Disease Prevention (funded by the Department of Education of Anhui Province); Cell Engineering and Pharmacology (of AXHU Teaching and Research foundations).

 

LI Qi-zhao

LI Qizhao李启照, male, professor, a native of Jinzhai County, Anhui province, was born in 1970. Li graduated with a Bachelor of Agriculture degree at the College of Animal Science, Anhui Science and Technology University in 1996. Later, he received his master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Engineering from the Shandong University in 2011 and joined AXHU faculty in Feb 2004, and was granted associate professorship in 2014.

 

His academic interest and specialism is in the areas of basic chemistry theories, pharmaceutical basic chemistry experiment, APIs (active pharmaceutical ingredients) extraction.

 

And he teaches the content courses to undergraduate students, including the College Chemistry, Chemical Science, Inorganic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Basic Chemistry, etc.

Over the past ten years, his academic achievements and outputs include: 1 project (serving as the director) of Natural Science Foundations by Anhui Provincial Education Department (project number: KJ2011B071) and 1 key project (director) of Natural Science Foundations by Anhui Provincial Education Department (project number: KJ2016A317); 6 projects (serving as the member) of Natural Science Foundations by Anhui Provincial Education Department (project number: KJ2010B073; KJ2010B077; KJ2010B078; KJ2014A098; KJ2015A307; KJ2016A313); 2 projects (serving as the member) of Anhui Provincial Teaching Research (project number: 20101142/20101147); 3 projects (serving as the member) of Anhui Provincial Quality Education Engineering; plenty of AXHU-wide projects—serving as the director/member—of teaching, research or Quality Education Engineering.

 

In addition to engagement with assistantship and mentorship and administrations of experiment, training and teaching, Li has conducted much more academic research and published 16 papers on the core journals of China, such as the Natural Product Research and Development, Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine, Jiangsu Agricultural Sciences, JOURNAL OF JINGANGSHAN UNIVERSITY, Journal of Qiqihar University (Philosophy & Social Science Edition), and has co-authored several textbooks: Inorganic Chemistry; Organic Chemistry.

 

Currently, he is named Experiment and Training Center director of the AXHU School of Pharmacy, and is honored with “AXHU Outstanding Staff” (in 2008, 2010, and 2015), the first prize of AXHU Teaching Achievements Award (in 2014), the third prize of Anhui Provincial Teaching Achievements Award (in 2015).

 

HUA Fang

HUA Fang华芳, female, doctorate, associate professor, joined AXHU in 2012, and conducts everyday teaching and critical research on Pharmaceutics, Pharmacy Management and Regulations.

ZHAO Ying

ZHAO Ying赵颖graduated from the department of Chemistry, Shandong University, in 2006, and then took office at the Project Department of HENAN SHENMA CHLOR ALKALI DEVELOPMENT CO., LTD., studied for the entire period from 2012-15 at the Hefei University of Technology, and received her master’s degree, and was matriculated by USTC (2015) and obtained her doctoral degree in Plasma Physics.

 

From 2012 onwards, Zhao had been engaged with the relevant applied research on the Plasma Chemistry and achieved scholarly in progress: 2 projects of Natural Science Foundation of China (member), 9 papers accepted and published (of which, 4 SCI, 2 Chinese Core Journals), and 6 patents.  

 

LIU Zi-ping

LIU Zi-ping刘自平, female, associate professorship, is a native of Lu’an, Anhui province.

 

She received her bachelor’s degree from the Anhui University in Jun 2001 and master’s degree from the Shandong University in Dec 2010.

 

In Jul 2001, Liu joined AXHU School of Pharmacy, is now named the director of Microbiology & Immunology and teaches content courses to the undergraduate students, such as Microbiology and Immunology, Microbiology and Fermentation Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Basic Experimental Chemistry, etc.

 

Her academic interest and specialism is in the area of Research and Development of Health Care Products, and the research outputs achieved include: 3 collaborative patents (lead inventor), 11 research projects—working as the director (of which, 2 provincial-level, 9 AXHU-level), 12 papers (lead author), 10 textbooks—working as the co-author (of which, 5 as deputy director).

 

The academic achievements and personal honor comprise of the “Excellent Guide for AXHU Graduate Career Development,” AXHU-wide Outstanding Mentor, 2-time recipient of AXHU-wide Teaching Achievements Award, 1 jump-start project of National Innovation and Entrepreneurship (mentor), 1 training project of Provincial Innovation and Entrepreneurship (mentor), and 2-time recipient of Excellent Undergraduate Graduating Papers Award (supervisor).

 

FENG Xue-hua

FENG Xue-hua冯学花, female, a native of Chuzhou, Anhui province, professorship, certified doctor, is currently studying for her doctoral degree.

 

In 2003, she graduated from the Anhui University of Chinese Medicine with a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy. In 2010, Feng obtained her master’s degree of Pharmaceutical Engineering from the Shandong University.

 

With the 16-year teaching experiences in the field of Pharmaceutical Science, she has been honored with the AXHU Young Skeleton Teachers Award, AXHU Outstanding Faculty, AXHU Advanced Staff, etc.

 

Nowadays, she is mainly in engagement with the teaching and research of Pharmaceutical Analysis, the innovative projects of Anhui Provincial Excellent Engineers Education (director), provincial-level MOOC programme of Pharmaceutical Analysis (director), AXHU-wide high-quality courses programme of Pharmaceutical Analysis (director), 2 provincial-level key/critical project of teaching research (director), a number of provincial-level or AXHU-wide projects of scholarly research, many patents—Quick Testing Apparatus for Cosmetics Minoxidil (patent number: ZL201420182818.5), Quick Testing Apparatus for Cosmetics Lidocaine (patent number: ZL201520151522.1), many awards of the provincial-level or AXHU-wide Teaching Achievements, over 30 papers of teaching and research, 4 textbooks (lead author or co-author).

 

HUANG Rong-rong

HUANG Rong-rong黄茸茸, female, certified doctor, a native of Hefei, Anhui province, graduated from the Anhui Medical University with a master’s degree in Pharmacology (concentration on neuroimmunology).

 

In 2006, she joined AXHU and then was named the director of Pharmacology curricula, and teaches content courses to undergraduate students including Pharmacology, Fundamentals of Medical Science (B), Medical Merchantability & Marketability, etc.

 

In particular, her research and teaching innovation (Smart Teaching) as well focuses on the effect of the natural active substance on Alzheimer’s disease based on molecular mechanism and Pharmacological action.

WANG Zhang-jie

WANG Zhang-jie王章婕, female, professorship, certified doctor, was born and raised in Zongyang county, Anhui province, and graduated from the Anhui University of Chinese Medicine with a Chinese Pharmacy master’s degree in 2008, and then joined AXHU. 

 

She is now named the director of the Teaching and Research Division of Pharmacology, being responsible for the R&D of new pharmaceutical preparations, medicinal formulations and Chinese herbal medicines, and teaches the core content courses to the  undergraduate students, such as Pharmaceutics, Industrial Pharmacy, Pharmacy Management and Regulations, Biopharmaceutics & Pharmacokinetics, and the applied research she manages and coordinates include: 3 projects of Anhui Provincial Education Department, 3 projects of Anhui Provincial Quality Education Engineering, 4 projects of AXHU-wide Quality Education Engineering, 2 projects of AXHU-wide Teaching and Research Grant.

ZHAO Ying赵影, female, Chinese Han people, lectureship, has obtained Advanced Certificate in Human Resource Management (from the University of Cambridge), nationally-certified psychological consultant (level-2), Experience Engineer (intermediate), and teaches content courses to the undergraduate students, such as College Chinese, Speech and Eloquence, Document Writing, Career Planning, Guide for Employment, Situations and Policies, etc.

 

The honors and scholarly outcomes of her include: several awards at municipal- or provincial-level competition for college students (mentor), Staff of Excellence in Assistantship for Graduating Students Employment at Anhui Provincial Higher Education Institutions awarded by Anhui Provincial Education Department (2013), third prize of staff working papers award by Anhui Provincial Education department (2017), 2 papers accepted and published (Third-Class), 1 provincial-level project (member), 3 AXHU-wide projects (director) and other AXHU-wide projects (member) as well. 

 

HU Jian-li

HU Jian-li胡健力, male, certified doctor, master’s degree, was born and raised in the city of Hefei, Anhui province. He graduated from the Anhui University of Chinese Medicine with a bachelor’s degree and from the Anhui Medical University with a master’s degree, and joined AXHU in Apr 2018 and teaches content course to undergraduate students comprising Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Marketing, Fostering Medical Practitioners with Professional Ethics, etc.

LU Song-xia

LU Song-xia陆松侠, female, full-time faculty member, certified doctor (CTM), graduated from the Anhui University of Chinese Medicine with a master’s degree. At AXHU, she engages in lots of teaching and research projects (e.g., Bilingual Instruction, Smart Class), and teaches content course to undergraduate students including Food Nutrition, Pharmacology and more.

 

XUE Zhi-hong

XUE Zhi-hong薛志红, male, master’s degree, teaching assistant, was born in Fuyang, Anhui province. He joined AXHU in Feb 2011 and is hired as the managing director for the administrative services at the School labs, while teaching content courses to the undergraduate students such as Pharmaceutical Basic Experimental Chemistry (B), Pharmaceutical Analysis, and more, as well as working on relevant projects of teaching and academic research. 

 

YANG Chun-yan   

YANG Chun-yan杨春燕, female, lectureship, a native of Lu’an, Anhui Province, was born in Feb 1988. She joined AXHU School of Pharmacy in Jul 2012, serves as the manager at the labs and research centers, and teaches experimental courses to undergraduate students such as Pharmaceutical Analysis, Instrumental Analysis, and more.
