AXHU Ruihang Engining into vast South China Sea

Recently, docking to the DIAN KE 1 HAO, the Chinese first ship of Marine Information Support & Comprehensive Experiments affiliated to China Electronic Technology Group Corporation (CETC), AXHU Ruihang Engineering’s newest self-developed USV version Rui-Hai-4, has completed its all-important expedition far-off to South China Sea, which aimed at a 10-day scientific investigation in coalition with the Zhejiang University-based expert team support, historically covering the “longest distance” till now when to learn, find and test with the deep-water action for some of maritime joint search & rescue system, navigation security in abnormal sea condition, marine economy, and more others in real world.  

 

 

As an innovation development of electric-only trimaran upon its completion on the docking mission, the all-weather performance of Rui-Hai-4 this time has been comprehensively proved good at automatic cruising, strong wave resistance, search-and-rescue emergency response, water environment detection and treatment, topographic and geomorphological mapping, and other hi-tech solutions.

 

 

DIAN KE 1 HAO, 89 meters long, having a standard displacement of around 3,200 tons and cruise duration amounting to 5,000 nautical miles, acting as a mother ship with wider deck to carry a good number of USVs, drones, and scientific research equipment relevant, featuring advanced support capacity, can well avail many kinds of high-end experiments of testing the latest marine information technologies to be surveyed and transformed as scheduled to be far closer.

 

Moreover, thoroughly coupled with a cohort of Zhejiang University experts, working closely through the active study and exploration that led to a package of deep-sea observational data of importance in physiography, marine environment, economic factors, and other aspects and for continuing to enhance the overall AXHU Ruihang Engineering performance in sustainability but transcendence ongoing.

 

After the 10-day joint research, which has marked another “milestone” historically, the Ruihang in series has completed pilot sails over distance of up to 15,000 kilometers in total while won over 20 national awards, and the real-world application, such as water quality monitoring, river channel surveying and mapping, emergency rescue, and more, is spanning over 39 cities of 10 provinces of China to the date.

 

Propelling Ruihang equipment to be subjected to a high-stake challenge of real-time natural conditions into South China Sea waters, and braving with that process against any off-shore “bottleneck”—whole or in part—to academically contribute to the national “Deep Blue” initiatives, now AXHU Ruihang people are quickly refocusing attention to expedite the Anhui-wide higher education-based USV research & development readjustable to be on higher waves.  

In the future, AXHUers will continue to take on a new role for some of the core technologies in the way of multiple disciplines to synergistic effect, and work out much more breakthroughs in the areas of cluster control, deep-sea environmental perception, and other AI-aided innovations, serving for the national strategy with their own concrete, high-efficient, adaptable solutions of a ubiquitous trend on marine resources investigation, ecological protection, safety and safety guarantee, and otherwise.
