AXHU’s storied alumnus XU Xudong

Recently, MOE, China Education Development Foundation released the 2024-25 Honor list of “EXCELLENCE Scholarships for Higher Education Graduates Outstanding Employment at Grass-Root Level” which honorably includes the AXHU graduate student XU Xudong, C’18, an undergraduate-then of Architectures at the AXHU School of Urban Construction.

The scholarships program was co-created by the MOE-affiliate Department of College Students Affairs (referring to MOE website official: its duties and responsibilities which include “Provision of guidance to the student career advisory service provided by local education government bodies and higher education institutions; Participation in the formulation of graduate employment policies; Implementation of ad-hoc national-level plans for graduate employment promotion;” and more) and the Center for Student Services and Development, and China Education Development Foundation, is special for the holistic implementation of the Chinese welfare reform by carrying out the talent policies newly stipulated by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council that is to encourage more and more excellent college graduates (and the career advisory faculty at higher education institutions) to throw themselves into the grass-roots construction such as in the Chinese rural revitalization plans.

Throughout 2024-25 annual evaluation and assessment, there are 398-member nationwide being conferred to that of greatness and significance (of which, just 17 ones based in Anhui province) on the MOE initiative, which includes XU Xudong as the second recipient going after another AXHU alum named LI Gangqiang in 2022.

All of which is already embodying the AXHU Education’s mission and value that take effect today of cultivating and preparing a larger community of academically-qualified, professionally-excellent, patriotic university graduates out of the AXHU community into the time-honored socialist cause of China.

XU, male, CPC member, born in 1996, while studying his undergraduate program of Architectures at AXHU, he was also always behaving actively and effectually as the AXHU Student Union co-leader in moderating kinds of prime-time campus activities for social public good.

After AXHU career, he, instead of urban life, chose to be committed himself to supporting the Chinese rural rejuvenation action and returned home, with a dream of modern and contemporary architecture designer’s to co-build his beloved homeland of Taihe county, Fuyang city, Anhui province.

Later, taking office on a timeline as the senior agronomist for national rural revitalization programs; secretary-general of Taihe-Based Big Farmers Alliance; vice chairman of Anhui Provincial Neo-Agriculturists Union; deputy director of Anhui Soybean Industry Association; vice manager of Anhui Rural Economic Cooperation Organization; and more, now as an acting manager of Taihe Congxiang Modern Agricultural Cooperative, he is directing and engaged with a series of pilot projects, involving agricultural sci-tech collaboration and innovative challenge to the core areas, with which Xu received the national honors, such as “Soybean King 2022” at the National High-Yield Soybean-Growing Competition, the “Young Pioneer of National Rural revitalization Initiative,” “New Era’s Young Pioneer,” alternate member of the 19th session of CYLC central committee, positive member of 15th session of Anhui CYLC committee, and executive member of 12th session of Anhui Youth Association, Anhui Beautiful New Farmer, Fuyang-based China Youth May Fourth Medalist, Fuyang Excellent People.

Upholding “XI’S VISION: To Be A New Farmer,” to take the benefits of Chinese modern agricultural science & technology to actualize the full-scale production, operations and management, and to mobilize the local medium-to-large farmer groups to highly yield the grain output and high-quality agricultural produces for China’s food security and the UN-based global welfare action.

Meaningfully, “the academic knowledge and career values arising from AXHU Education’s commitment will make us set a clear political direction on the mind of all the alumni, we, the New Youth thriving with national responsibilities and duties in the new times, have already comprehended the significant impact of rural rejuvenation initiative that is historically meant to securing Chinese own welfare of ‘GOOD FOOD BOWL’ per capita of any times as the baseline for Chinese overall economic development and geopolitical deployment in new era,” Xu discussed.

Always, AXHU administration has been attaching high importance to the graduates’ employment quality by furthering the educational reform, supporting the integration of University-Industry cooperation, and consolidating practical training, while adhering to the MOE’s pedagogical core of cultural traditions, public morality, and professional ethics is the Chinese higher education basement to prepare and encourage the plus-size offerings of Examplar AXHU Alum, like XU Xudong, who are willing to be dedicated themselves to serving the comprehensive grassroots construction aligned with the campaign of the great renewal of the Chinese nation.
