The C’29 First Years Gala Evening themed “AXHU Youth Flourishing in Prime Time” debuted at AXHU Lucky Cloud stadium, where was gathering more than 50 thousand audience, including the new students, student families and friends, alumni, social fellows, and decadeslong supporters and partners for all the success of AXHU Education, and much more, on the evening of Nov 5, 2025, —simultaneously live streaming on AXHU WeChat Official Account, domestically.
Opening with the performance ‘MY OK FUTURE’ as a prelude did quite ignite the young ‘dynamite’ at AXHU LUCKY CLOUD stadium, is potentially putting the AXHU people’s humanistic heritage on course to set practical effects during their past education efforts in reverence, always emerging with a refreshing vibrancy.
The School of Culture and Communication faculty WANG Ziqiao, alum, C’09, FANG Weirui, and the first years students TIAN Che and HU Guang Cheng joined the show as cohost.
After a sweet song of ‘Welcome to AXHU Campus’ caroled the crowd, came the Anhui Huangmei opera ‘Nv-Fu-Ma,’ performed by faculty members: School of Culture and Communication XING Yu and the School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence ZHANG Yaqi, feasting a profound glamour to the audiences to be adorned with kind of music experience exceptionally throughout their beautiful tunes and melodious flavors, appealing of all time.
On the other side, all of which then hugely lighted the lofty AXHU-type promotion to grow the higher education career full of the MOE-initiated pedagogical aspiration, cultural ideas, great tastes, and popular understandings of Chinese traditional elements of excellence worldwide.
Then the attendees were mesmerized by the dance ‘Chicago’ featuring a moving, elevating, and empowering performance of AXHU School of Art Troupe’s greatest hits, and following up with great fanfare that lead a comeback, the Band’s song adaption ‘Breakthroughs’ by the current students ZHANY Yaozu, YAN Linshan, WANG Yufeng, and TANG Xiaotian, was introduced into the shared space of reflection, ambition, and aspiration, reminding them at the music venue of those AXHU-wide young students’ self-formation of excellence to pitch in to experience the once-in-a-lifetime academic travel—bravely, facing headwinds than ever—only the longest-distance sailing can offer.
AXHU Merit Alum, C’09, HUANG Ye’s best pop solo performance of ‘YOU, My Beloved’ gave the audiences a special genre music of significance, fusing the AXHU-then young people and rich stories into a sound that spans generations who made creative contributions to today’s outstanding campus.
And the ‘If Thou Were Mine in Dreams’ re-imagined of the Chinese classical aesthetic tradition with the School of Art student dancers’ longing for most stylish artistic expression in a rich tapestry of the oriental philosophy of Beauty-and-Art and profound cultural narrations in reverence for love and romance.
As the gold, silver medalist of TOP 10 Singers 2025, CHENG Fanghai and ZHAO Kexin dueted with a charismatic song named ‘A Heart of Homeland’—beautifully, enchanting imagism that entertained a time of inspiring nostalgia too,—there, all of them were encouraged to chant out of their inner patriotic feelings of ‘OUR COUNTRY, OUR PEOPLE’ which will capture our hearts and be lasting forever in natural and social harmony.
With that to be trending more seductive nationally, another artist from the AXHU School of Art added so much with her ‘dancing’ language conceptually, which made the distinctive stage performance even more, while entering the educationally ideological mainstream in the new era, and gaining inter-culturally most recognition from around the globe as the China’s latest advance in the indigenous icons is to communicate worldwide, so the exotic culture addition as something of inbound category might to be welcomed as much to be the target demographic as possible, locally.
Greeted with loud cheers, not only was the Goldener Saal Wiener Musikvereins-specific music genre featuring in ‘O Sole Mio’ sung by professors at AXHU School of Music WANG Haoxing, REN Dewei, and SONG Wenyu, who, themselves, like tracking the Sage’s trip of honor onto the vast prairie, while bathing in a soul style from musical prospective use of lyrics, had become intoxicated by the AXHU community’s biggest night, but also the following song ‘Walking North’ by the School’s new faculty LI Shangfeng (doctorate in music education), a genre-spanning pro singer, was to embody the restless spirit of such troubadours’ blazing but idyllic courtship days.
The breaking ‘The Return of the Girls’ recommended by AXHU College Student Art Troupe displayed kind of the young’s glowing in confidence, briskness, and brights for the prime time.
A composition of ‘Star Crossing Night,’ being fresh, moving, and romantic, singing in antiphonal style by its student members GU Yifan and WU Yuxin, who were sketching a different picture of campus life that everyone will have a voice in.
..., while rewatching the ‘Alight with AXHU BLUE’ issued by the AXHU T-STAGERS, the campus-type model show showed up in the way those innovative, creative, focused, and younger students did passionately immerse themselves in the AXHU community sessions’ engagement in serving up a variety of elegant, vibrant topics.
Afterward, the faculty WANG Haoxing and LI Shangfeng co-performed the song ‘Beautiful Wings’ which is invitingly for making a best wish to all the 2025’s newcomers, cozily and thoughtfully, enveloped in the ambience of such crisp deep autumn night for spectacular views of the star-lighted Dashu mountain in the city of Hefei.
And the original dancing performance of ‘Rhythm in Clouds’ co-starred by faculty SUN Hongjing and her students in the Troupe, which was conceptualized,—resembling a landscape of people-and-nature harmony—, styled in a sense of Chinese ink painting to shape a kind of national artistic reality through many of iconic elements of the folk dance.
Especially during the premier gathering, a homecoming for our Soprano YAN Ni, a famous singing artist, who was born and raised up in Shucheng County, Anhui province, visited the AXHU campus as the emeritus professional in the CPLA Air Force Art Troupe to congratulate and celebrate the special moment sparkly distinguished in the year of 2025, was warmly bringing her two famous songs from the best album this time: ‘Forever Is A Melody’ and ‘I Love U, YES!’, which will echo a rich music legend of all the attendees’ connecting and belonging to the higher education community.
Last but not least, with a theme song named ‘Xiang-Qin-Xiang-Ai’ singing in chorus, the AXHU First Years Gala Evening 2025 rang down the curtain.
The Lucky Cloud stadium in AXHU yard was, however, still bathing in the applause of a curtain call...togetherness on, best of all—which is already a place to house the holy part of the great Chinese higher education cause, and is always in homage to the dedicators, supporters, providers and more, gathering together at the landmark occasions of brightness to look forward the future.
