Recently, the NCDCTS Committee jury panel officially announced the full list of honorees and laureates during its eighth edition, which includes the AXHU School of Culture and Communication faculty: CAO Dieli, SHI Miaomiao, DING Zezhi, and LIU Xue, whose collective work titled “Traditional Emblazonry of Shexian歙县Fish Lantern” based on their yearslong professional foundations, innovative teaching designs, and impromptu interpretation as well, which went through the strict reviews and assessments online and on-the-spot, won the national first prize in the category of Higher Education Digital Media Art.
NCDCTS has been included into the Critical Program Series ratified at China Association of Higher Education (CAHE)—officially, referring to its documentation: the Analysis Report of National Teaching Competition for College Faculty, which is now working out widely, mostly, and professionally in the field of teaching and research at Chinese higher learning institutions.

Comprising multiple sources like online reviews, in-person demonstrations, oral defence, and other competitive comments in place, the 2025 event proceedings highlighted the teachers’ comprehensive performance in teaching design, curricular adaptation, and real-time exercises in transformation, which had collected 4,581 works/cases from 5,620 teachers in 574 universities and colleges nationwide.
Reportedly from the insiders, right after the well-grounded 3,601 pieces edged out the preliminary screenings, and then “the leading candidates of 695 joined the national finals.”
Based on the prize-awarding content course—Crafting & Making of Children’s Art, the AXHU teaching group fully displayed their own innovative capacity ongoing at the professional level, leading the deep integration of curriculum practice with teaching innovation while combining with the Anhui-wide traditional culture and the intangible cultural heritage to tell the vivid story of Shexian Fish Lantern in Anhui province, which aims to step up the internal educational reform for the overall construction at AXHU.
