2025 ‘Li-Ning Legend Cup’ Badminton Open

The 2025 event was co-hosted by the Anhui Badminton Association, Anhui Foreign Studies Badminton Association, and the Wuhu Municipal People’s Government, Anhui province, comprising Mixed Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Men’s Doubles, special for the foreign languages teachers at the higher education institutions based in the Yangtze River Delta, came to a close, Oct 19, at Wuhu Olympic Sports Center.

The high-profile combined delegation of Anhui University and AXHU (the latter including the AXHU International Exchange and Cooperation Office Deputy Director, also the School of International Education deputy dean, CHENG Yi, the International Chinese Language teacher XUE Zhongshui, and the School of Foreign Studies academic staff LIU Qing), performed well based on their pre-match preparations targeted to gain a tactical advantage, while thru the preliminary screenings, sweeping the qualifiers, and then rounded out the finals.   

Starting on Oct 18, during the qualifiers, the combination’s promotion to top-4 after winning against the Wannan Medical College, the Fuyang Institute of Technology, and the Anqing Foreign Language School, the Anhui Science and Technology University, the Bengbu University.

At the next day’s finals, the teammates head-to-head confronted this season’s seed team Hefei University of Technology—though, failing the match of mixed doubles at first, but got an overhaul during the second straight match of women’s doubles, and later a well-matched combination of men’s doubles CHENG-XUE’s remaining at the best level to shutting out the rivals, got a nearly complete pro performance of excelling in every manipulative hit under their precise, skilled control over the hourslong defence-and-offence shuttling between—with the game periods both ticking off and burning out in psychological and physical tolerance—while on the road to the topmost podium.

With a time of historical breakthrough, the players had its highest ranking, which also showcased the AXHU-based staff members’ comprehensive strengths such as Sportsmanship Excellence, especially for their work-and-life attitude to always position sternly, actively and courageously in the face of opportunities and challenges with much more additional check-ins.

Moreover, their priorities balanced in culture competence have been making AXHU-type promotional solutions inspired and ignited with some best starts of faith-based adaptation by faculty, students and staff themselves to make a workout, to come a long way, and to spark a colored, varied campus life, too.
