AXHU current students’ video works earned international nominations

After a couple of months’ trip—roaming around the globe from Berlin, New York, London, to Chinese Tianjin, in the behalf of the AXHU School of Culture and Communication via the exchange tour, its all-star cast and production group had had communicated their trending ideas and innovative thoughts that run together through their high-tech camera shots plus the content scripts and interpretations based on their AXHU undergraduate programs capturing a wide range of worldwide attentions in the scenes, going viral among the global pro producers and audiences between cultures and beliefs, and also sharing the international film exhibitions’ Win & Impact to a new level.

Starting in March, 2025, the two co-works originally produced by the School’s faculty FENG Ziheng-mentored student delegation, including NI Dingkun, ZHENG Zhitong, CHANG Shuaishuai, and other coordinators and supporters, were professionally recognized at the film exhibition series, during which their AXHU-style appearances earned a dozen of international nominations or honors.

On the journey to the creative international community, these Chinese young students have since obtained an international experience of academic transformation and extension for creativity.

Their short film titled “Assassination In Progress” was selected officially into the categories of the international student competitions, respectively, on a roll at the U.S. DOMFF (Direct Monthly Online Film Festival’s), ARFF BERLIN, Young Lens Film Festival of Africa, International Film Festival of India, BOBCATS Film Festival at Beijing, as well as won the “Best Directing” at the British LIFT-OFF GLOBAL NETWORK’s 2025 Season Premieres and the “Official Selection” stunning in 2025 August’s Hong Kong Bauhinia International Film Festival.

Moreover, with another feature film: “The Steel Was Tempered,” they roared into the semifinals at Tianjin International Film Academic Sessions.

Adhering to educational theme of “Competition-driven Learning, Teaching, Reforming and Constituting,” AXHU education, always focusing on the students’ innovative thinking and practical transforming via organizational engagement and effective coordination, aims to encourage and support more and more younger members on campus to improve the professional level and to expand their academic visions onto such high-end platforms internationally.

In recent years, the School of Culture and Communication has always been following up with the fashionable style on trend in this field, and being in line with the emerging demands on the new talented professionals of Drama & Film to feature the current students’ potentials as planned in advance.

So, seeing the accomplishments at such professional events above-mentioned show to some extent what the educational supporters and providers’ bold ideas plus absolute  practices during that now work well academically toward educating a large number of hands-on talent, who will and can contribute to the future Chinese movie industries, while leaving a trail of solid footprints clearly over the course of AXHU-wide educational innovation and transformation, shifting from classroom to the international stages, they were braving the elements for preparing a vista of AXHU-era values and mission on all fronts.
