7th Chinese Calligraphy and Classical Interpretation Competition
The Educational Department of Anhui Province administration recently announced the honor roll at the Anhui-based preliminary—which will be joining the national finals.
And AXHU School of Culture and Communication combination of students and faculty members claimed four first-place awards, one second-place, three third-place, and two Excellence.
In the student grouping, the first place awarding works include: Zui-Weng Pavilion Records醉翁亭记 by HAN Jingjing [mentored by faculty LIU Xue]; Expedition Memorial (abridged)出师表by CHU Chu [mentored by faculty SHI Miaomiao]; Han-Mo Chronicles翰墨志 (abridged) by HAN ZhongLiang [mentored by faculty HE Shuyan]; 22 Rhymes for Zuo Chengzhang奉赠韦左丞丈二十二韵by DING Xinyue [mentored by faculty DING Zezhi], and the third place: Encouraging Learning (abridged)劝学by XIONG Lingrui [mentored by faculty HE Shuyan].
Of the teacher grouping, the awards include: second place—Inscribing of Humble Room陋室铭by HE Shuyan; third place—The Red Cliff Ode (abridged)赤壁赋by DING Zezhi and Spring春by LIU Hang; Special Mention—Expedition Memorial (abridged)出师表 by SHI Miaomiao and Xi-Lin Cliff Inscriptions题西林壁by CAO Dieli.
All the professional pieces for this competing artistically embodied in general the School-wide academics mostly at the current levels and the young career members’ disciplinary potentials for shaping some artistic characteristics especially of penmanship—trans-dimensional cross-cutting sequence, like ‘intertextuality’ among the Chinese classical literary appreciations in such poetic backstories along with the esthetic experience of Chinese calligraphy art of making.
