Recently, the MOE administration issued and forwarded the Notice of AXHU-NPU Continuing Education Undergraduate Programs-and Scale of Enrollment and Standardized Instituting to its subdivision the Department of Education of Anhui Province [#2025 Documentation official, No. 82], with the AXHU’s disciplinary application when reviewed, accredited, and registered by a roundup of the Ministry, the Department, Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU), Hefei Education Bureau to get the intercollegiate joint operations started Aug. 1, 2025, at AXHU main campus, piloting five full-time bachelor’s programs (Top-up Courses just for three-year college students) including Mechanical Design Manufacturing & Automation, Computer Science and Technology, Electrical Engineering and Automation, Business Administration, and Law.

Joining the MOE’s 211 Project (1995) and the 985 Project (2001), the NPU now affiliated to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), based in the historic city of Xi’an renowned worldwide both for the ancient Silk Road and for today’s strategic value of Chinese heavy industries, is the “only multidisciplinary and research-oriented in China that is simultaneously developing education and research programs in the fields of aeronautics, astronautics, and marine technology engineering,” and also a member of the “Outstanding University Alliance” program. Moreover, it has already been enlisted on the Class-A of “First-rate University Construction Unit” honor roll, and is the leading university to inaugurate the “Belt and Road” Aerospace Innovation Alliance.

Led by the MOE authorities for a growing chorus of Chinese educational innovations overall, the ‘Turning Point’ AXHU campus based on its own comprehensive strengths and high-level administrative services just over the last decades, now, is widely to be reinforced while docking with the strongest NPU powerhouse’s disciplinary features to explore more higher education resources for a wider range of three-year college students, who will have good opportunities and chances to update their knowledge structure and applications in the context of the continued education of high-quality outreaches nationwide for accelerating the regional cultural, economic development in the near future.
