Recently, the Center for Gymnastics of General Administration of Sport of China announced the 2025 Cheerleading League Hainan Grand Competition’s star awardees going supernova nationally: AXHU student-athletes earned three gold and two silver, thereof.
The 2025 tournament was co-organized by the Administration and the Trampoline Association of China, and hosted by Hainan Provincial Cheer Union from May 9 to 11, at Haikou City Sports Center Multi-Function Gymnasium, Hainan Province, which has gathered together around 2,000 finalists from 13 provinces like Beijing, Tianjin, Chongqin, Yunnan, Jiangsu, Guangdong, etc.
With a quadrilateral TIAN Xinrui-SHI Shujian-DONG Luohan-CHEN Fangzheng cooperation, who are all active faculty members, also qualified director/coach, at the AXHU Gen Ed Department.
Team AXHU was built on qualifying and reaching the final of the Cheerleading competition routine/Game Cheerleading of Youth Group C disciplines such as [Partner Stunt that “involves 2 athletes (a base and a top person) that perform a series of partner stunts within a timed routine format and are judged on the skills performed in comparison to other Partner Stunt competitors” and the Group Stunt by 4-5 athletes (bases, a top person(s) and spotter(s))].
Their awesome skills and maneuvers performing artistically and stunningly in the routine formats: Wrap Around, Braced Flip, Airborn Tumbling Skill, Assisted-Flipping Stunt, Coed Style Toss, Kick Double Full, Cradle Position, Cupie, Multi-Based Stunt, Extended Arm Level..., drew wide applause there and later became the centerpiece of the Game Day’s most congratulations: the Youth Group C Open’s first-place of “Partner Stunt,” “Group Stunt” and “Doubles Hip Hop;” the second-place of “Doubles Hip Hop;” and the second “Doubles Pom” spot in the Group A.
The premier event of 2025 is also featuring in its highest numbers, largest scale, and varied divisions, and during the head-to-head three-day contention of Sportsmanship, AXHU athletes claimed many on the score sheet via their advanced performances and sporting spirit of self-perfecting challenge onstage, which will bolster a solid foundation for a new-look Sport of Cheer on AXHU campus.
