AXHU 2024 College Houses Culture Week

To widely improve the AXHU housing and accommodations, to live up to the growing impact of current undergraduates’ common vision on keeping their living experience up with an overwhelming feeling of well-being and security, and diversity within the campus, and to build on the character of Harmonious Campus initiative by making the AXHU community en mass a common link, AXHU 2024 College Houses Culture Week—“OUR Homelike Residence” opened at AXHU Plaza on Wednesday, Nov 27, 2024.

It honorably included: the AXHU vice president WANG Qijin; Director of Department for Students Affairs RUI Ping; Center for Information & Security deputy director QIU Tao; Department of Logistics deputy director ZHANG Yongjiu; Environmental Construction Department chief staff LIU Tianbing; deputy deans and assistant deans, secretaries, mentors at schools and departments, student deputies, and Undergraduate College Houses Service & Stewardship’s staff members, and more.

Themed “Thanksgiving, Altruism, and Co-founding” and based on the administrative and operational ‘umbrella’ services over on-campus housing system, the assistant director of Department for Students Affairs LI Qingming, at first, announced the Circular of the 2024 AXHU Agenda For College Houses Culture Week, which includes the content instructions, phased tasks, workings in a wide-ranging configuration, and much more.

“OUR Homelike Residence” initiative can help every current student make the dream a reality in a supportive, amiable, and creative way, so that they shall stitch the personal interests or even cognitive divides together and inject the new inspiring elements into the shared landscape under a roof, where the cozy retreat for some time will continue to harbor the AXHU dreamers’ deliverables..., the student representative from AXHU School of Art XU Xinyi said.

So, “all the members should ground the major work in the concrete planning aligned with the ‘generative’ discussions at the routine Class Conference sessions in each academic year, and moreover take advantage of the impactful students serving the ‘Pioneering Roles’ in co-shaping a higher-quality living space of both sciences and humanities—across the Buildings, Floors and Dorms—at AXHU educational community,” shared the School of Accounting and Finance mentorship SUN Zeyu. 

Of the Wang’s remarkable argumentation—“which looks like a kind of ‘home port’ for a time of Body & Mind in the taut for another astounding journey,” the Colleges Houses zone, also one of the Campus Culture windows, will provide the academic engagement metrics for not only the overall status of the Ideological, Political, Moral, and Cultural Education, but the students’ eager expectations for all-rounded development themselves on campus.

To be exact, the top-level doers involved should turn to:1) Innovative activities within the framework of effective organization and scientific management; 2) Ideological & Political Education-steered College Houses Companionship for self-constituted affairs fundamental; 3) Trending concepts on health and well-being on campus; 4) Leading Roles of Impact + Peers Supervision Mechanism; 5) Invitation to all the members engaged with the innovative and sustainable missions in this field.   

Building out the College Houses of tomorrow has and will be the core part of higher education system in navigating the multidimensionality, which could help the AXHU-wide educators not only fostering a community of high-quality talents proud of hands-on experiences, but also forecasting their own real-time capacities as actors for the future of AXHU education.

Working well the 2024 Culture Week project, AXHU administration aims to repurpose the existing platform by displaying the current students’ elegant demeanour and  elevated stances in a more inclusive way, to have a nice bonding experience among AXHU family, and to augment their own cultural weights and onlooking dispositions sometimes with a demanding victory, and furthermore, to mark a new chapter of educational ideas and technologies sparking the young college student’s passion ever for innovation and transformation from a wide range of backgrounds in the new era.
