AXHU MOMENT FOR INTL. CLASS OF 2028

On Sep 20, the welcome event for international students, C’28, was held at the AXHU Academic Lecture Hall, which was moderated by the executive dean at AXHU School of International Education, also deputy director of AXHU International Exchange and Cooperation Office, CHENG Yi.

The attendees include: Vice President of Anhui Xinhua Group (AXG), also General Manager of AXG International Division, WANG Xiao-wu, AXHU provost ZHAO Liangqing, AXHU vice president HE Xingjia, chief staff members with AXG/AXHU administrations, and other heads at the schools and departments, as well as some students’ families from Indonesia and Mongolia, who witnessed the historical moment and extended their best wish to these incoming students.

Speaking at the inauguration in this hall of overseas first-years across exotic cultures, “international academic experience and humanistic exchange will shape a world of equity, diversity and inclusion to signify the fundamental purpose for global higher education norms and conventions, through which the freshmen should cherish the upcoming academic opportunities anytime on campus to improve and create knowledge, boldly engage you in the culture events and field trips, and foster a unique awareness of connections between cultures and in liberal arts at AXHU global community,” Zhao said.

Next, Prof. FAN Dongsheng, dean of the School of International Education, detailed its current educational policy, selected courses, or research programs possible for students across the world, as well as disciplinary strengths across AXHU.

“Every new student should be dedicated to scientific research and social practices to explore some unknown academic fields, so as to lay a solid foundation for your lofty career in the near future,” he hoped.  

“Welcome to our big family! You should fully take advantage of the local resources to better learn Chinese language with culture immersion, to become an active member in the classroom, and to acquire the assertive communicative competencies in pragmatics via extended exposure and academic activities on campus and beyond,” the teacher representative CAO Qun said.

Moreover, “This special moment in the year of 2024 forecasts all the move-in students are moving to the next stage of self-value resolution in unbridled potentials at the inspiring community, which is filled with thrills, happiness and freedom,” Evelyn, a first-year, shared in emotions.

“To enjoy the AXHU journey to splendor Youth! We can brave any challenges along with these generous AXHU families,” WU Ran said of their learning and life experiences as deputy second-year.

With the ceremony closing successfully, the class of 2028 is about to explore their academic career at AXHU, where they could meet up with the peer fellows from around the world, who are interested in discovering the magic knowledge and indigenous cultural glamour.

Seeing that, the School of International Education will continue to empower the everyday teaching, innovative research, and student management to secure high-efficient educational practices of preparing high-quality international talents, so as to demonstrate commitment of impact across the world.
