On Jul 12-16, the academic event titled with “Tour Longnanto Capture Charm of Jiangxi, China” jointly hosted by the board of International Film & TV Culture Exchange of CHINESE CULTURAL INFORMATION ASSOCIATION (CCIA), the Global Media Research Center of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), organizing committee of WanFengLin International Microfilm Festival Award Ceremony, work committee of Chinese Dream Youth Films Award Ceremony, and the People’s Government of Ganzhou City.

The School of Culture and Communication Faculty ZONG Liang-led AXHU delegation, which is consisted of the Radio & Television Media undergraduate students, LI Kezhan, CHANG Shuaishuai, and WEN Yimin, registered its work “Inviting Longnan for the event, which gathered more than 300 student contestants (or faculty members) from over 60 universities and colleges, such as Renmin University of China, Communication University of China, Beijing Film Academy and more, into the city of Longnan.

With an in-depth research into the Chinese Red revolutionary history and the ‘Enclosed House’ architecture culture pertinent to Longnan, a prefecture-level city in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, they made full preparation for the production plan and won a third prize later.

Through the lens of regional culture and tradition, the microfilm making incorporates the Longnan iconic elements and embodied techniques inside the intangible cultural heritage, which could make the relevant works become more appealing and attractive on screen. Meanwhile, the AXHU faculty and students step into some ancient villages and the nature reserve to obtain a real sense of the distinctive Minnan culture throughout its profound history.

And this activity offered an interactive platform for higher education institutions across China, by which to engage the more peer students of excellence in academic research and clinical practices at every turn and to help increase their real-world transformation capacities in concerted teamwork.
