AXHU’s Olympic dreams come true: the faculty members working as Chinese technical officials in the ice hockey sports at Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games

On the night of February 20, the 24th Winter Olympic Games comes a close. In this international event, Zhang Aichen, director of the Sports Management Center for Roller Skating of AXHU, and Tian Xinrui, a PE teacher with the General Education Department of AXHU, are invited to act as Chinese Technical Officials for the ice hockey sports. As Bing Dwen Dwen, the mascot of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, goes “off work” and bids a farewell to all the nationals across global, AXHUers gloriously complete their undertakings for this winter games and garner a meaningful people-to-people intercultural experience in the international Olympic family.

As known, both of them have periodically participated into the training sessions specific for Chinese Technical Officials since 2018, which are hosted by Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games organizing Committee, and also take such moments to engage into a series of promotion activities for various Ice Hockey games.

Since then, AXHU keeps up with an appeal of “300 million people for ice and snow sports of China,” meticulously cultivates both athletes and experts in the field of ice and snow sports, and via construction of training courts, development of the curricula related to ice and snow sports, organization of the skating club, etc., starts up for its promotion into the masses, communicating the general knowledge concerning the Winter Olympic Games, channeling AXHUers to contact the charm and culture of ice and snow sports.

By this chance, AXHU contributes and debuts its strength of the faculty and staff for Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, improves itself in the aspect of pedagogical fame or influence at home and global, and also creates an opportunities for the comprehensive improvement of the athletic professionals in the ice hockey sports at AXHU or across Anhui province.  

In the coming days, Zhang Aicheng and Tian Xinrui will still undertake the relevant work for the Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympic Games.
