//* Introduction to AXHU School of Business

 

Founded in 2001, the Department of Economic Management of AXHU was renamed the School of Business in 2005. Today, it comprises of the Department of Trade Economy, the Department of Business Administration, and the Department of Logistics Management, covering nine undergraduate programs so far—Business Economics, Logistics Management, Logistics Engineering, Big Data Management and Application, Marketing, HRM (Human Resource Management), Digital Economy, International Economics and Trade, and EC (Electronic Commerce). Highlighting the Industry-University-Research strategic cooperation, the School seeks to link its teaching and academic research to the social popular enterprises or scientific research institutes, such as the P. G. LOGISTICS GROUP CO., LTD, Anhui Feiyu Network Technology Co., Ltd., Anhui Province Logistics Association, etc. Typically, the general manager of the P. G. LOGISTICS GROUP CO., LTD (Hefei), Ms. SUI Lingli, was employed as the deputy dean of AXHU School of Business, and to be in charge of the Industry-University-Research projects and through the joint efforts, dedicated to the cultivation of high-quality scholarly minds and professional talents.

The School resolutely carries out the talents cultivation mode of “Tridimensional Presence”—the main body including university, enterprise, research institute or government; the curriculum system comprising general study, professional education, and academic research; the educational patterns featuring Learning, Application and Innovation, adheres to a pedagogical philosophy of “Moral, Entrepreneurship, Humanism,” and sticks to a school-running idea of “Business for the National Welfare, Education for People’s Livelihood.” All in all, the School aims to educate a large quantity of high-quality practical talents and promising adepts in the area of business, characterizing with a strong sense of social responsibility and professional ethics, an inspiration of innovation, a solid foundation of academic theories, etc. Through yeas of exploration and endeavors, its educational quality and level are enhanced substantially, and the School keeps a profile of active and inspiring development and evolution.   

 

Moreover, the School attaches great importance to the undergraduate students’ comprehensive quality and initiative and applied competence, via building up a raft of students’ organizations, including the E-business Startups Association, Marketing and Planning Association, Logistics Association, Human Resource Association, and much more. Over the past three years, the undergraduate students of the School have won plenty of medals in some of academic competition and contests, such as the E-business Contest of Innovation, Creativity and Business Startups for College Students, Competition of Comprehensive Skills for International Trade, Simulation Contest of National Management and Decision—Innovation and Business Startups, which is honored with “National Grand Prize.” The School has achieved 47 national- or provincial-level projects of Innovation and Business Startups for college students. For three consecutive years, the graduating students’ one-off employment rate is up to 90%, and the specialization-based career positioning in regard to the standards of industries and businesses is of betterment year on year. And the graduating students’ hands-on practice and comprehensive capabilities win a nod of social approval.

Business Economics

This specialization education aims to cultivate the undergraduate students to become the innovative, applied talents acquiring sound academic competence and professional skills and to undertake the work in the area of business economics, such as survey, analysis, management, planning, etc. Through years of exploration and educational engagement, which implements a gradient development solution, and maps a big picture for the cultivation of innovative talents featuring “productivity-driven teaching + workshop + We-Media” and “competition-led learning.” The graduates can be employed at the large and medium-sized enterprise and management and consulting agency, and the governmental department of business statistics, engaging in business survey and investigation, business statistics and analysis, business planning and prediction, etc.

 

Logistics Engineering

As one of the projected construction specialties (Anhui Provincial Featured Major and First-Class Major), it boosts a provincial-level teaching team and training base, is also the incubation base of the Master’s Degree Programs at AXHU. ZHAI Rongbin, male, full professor, is the executive dean, also secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) AXHU Committee of the School of Business.

 

LU Kebin

LU Kebin, born in 1974, male, full professor, doctor’s degree in business administration, Anhui Provincial Famous Teacher, Anhui Provincial Excellent Teacher, supervisor of master’s program (of the Anhui Jianzhu University), member of the first-batch registration in China’s 10,000 Talents Tank (Excellent Instructors for Undergraduate Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship), chairman of the Academic Committee (of AXHU Quality Education Center for University Students—the Key Research Base of Anhui Provincial Higher Education), academic pacesetter for university students’ innovation and entrepreneurship, executive member of Anhui Provincial Logistics Association, member of Consulting and Training Committee, expert of the Think Tank, secretary-general of Industry-University-Research Alliance Cooperation Committee (of Anhui Provincial Logistics Industries), expert and executive member of Anhui Quality Technology Supervision Association.

 

The main academic areas of his center on the Logistics and Supply Chain, Knowledge Management and System Decision. And the research achievements include over 20 scientific research projects of the Anhui Provincial Education Department, 2 projects of the National Social Science and Natural Science, 1 second prize of the Anhui Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress Awards, 2 second prizes and 2 third prizes of the Teaching Achievements of Anhui Provincial Education Department, over 80 research papers, 2 monographs and over 10 textbooks (of which, 1 National-level Textbook for the 12th Five-Year Plan, 2 Provincial-level Textbook for the 13th Five-Year Plan, 2 Provincial-level First-class Planned Textbooks). Moreover, Lu is chairing the construction project of the AXHU master’s program in Engineering Management and the key disciplinary construction of management science and engineering and business management.

 

Education background and work experience  

In Jul 1997, Lu was graduated from the Department of Mathematics of Anhui Normal University and received his bachelor’s degree in science, and then worked as assistant (of the teaching research section) and as lecturer at the Army Academy of Armored Forces. In Mar 2008, Lu was conferred master’s degree in management science and engineering at the School of Management of the Xi’an Polytechnic University. From 2021 onwards, Lu studies for the doctor’s program in business administration at University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD). In 2008, Lu joined AXHU, and is in charge of both administration and academic research and teaching—the director of the Department, dean of the School of Business. In Nov 2010, he was granted the “associate professor,” and then “full professor” in Nov 2016. And his academic concentrations are mainly on the Logistics and Supply Chain, Knowledge Management and System Decision. From Sept 2020 through Aug 2011, Lu worked as visiting scholar at the Hefei University of Technology. From Sept 2014 through Aug 2015, Lu worked as visiting scholar (Backbone Lecturers Project of the MOE) at the University of Science and Technology of China. Currently, Lu teaches the content courses to the AXHU undergraduate students, comprising Supply Chain Management, Enterprise Strategic Management, International Freight Forwarder, Operations Research, Market Research and Prediction, Logistics Cost Management, etc.

WANG Mingtian

WANG Mingtian, lecturer, master’s degree, is the assistant dean, also deputy secretary of the CPC AXHU Committee of the School of Business, and in recent years, guides and instructs the undergraduate students to participate in the innovation and entrepreneurship competition for university students, who has harvested 2 national-level projects, 3 provincial-level projects, 3 national-level awards, many Teaching Achievements Awards and Quality Projects of AXHU Academic Staff, “Excellent Instructor” of the Youth Maker Programme. Furthermore, Wang presides over 1 AXHU-wide teaching research project, 1 AXHU-wide scientific research project, and published 5 research papers.

 

LIU Dongmei

LIU Dongmei, female, the CPC member, master, associate professor, deputy dean of the School of Business, presides over 4 provincial-level projects in teaching and scientific research, 7 AXHU-wide projects in teaching research, and has published several research papers, and mentors the undergraduate students and bags many of prizes, such as E-commerce Innovative Competition for University Students. And Liu has been awarded the Anhui provincial “New Star Lecturer 2016,” AXHU “Outstanding Worker,” AXHU “Advanced Individual,” AXHU “Excellent Teacher,” AXHU “New Star Lecturer,” AXHU “Model Educator,” 1 first prize of “AXHU Contest of Teaching Plan and Design,” 1 second prize of “AXHU-wide contest of Multimedia Courseware Making,” and so on. And historically, the pedagogical footprints of her comprise of serving as the academic teaching staff, the pacesetter of academic specialties, the assistant dean of the School, the assistant provost of AXHU Department of Teaching Affairs. SUN Ni

SUN Ni, female, the CPC member, master’ s degree, associate professor, is principally engaged with the academic research specific for agricultural products logistics, efficiency evaluation, logistics information management. Since taking office at AXHU, Sun has participate in 15 projects of the teaching and scientific research at different levels (director, or member), published more than 10 academic papers, 1 textbook in 2020 (first author), 1 monograph titled the Featured Agricultural Products Logistics in Anhui Province—Investigation and Analysis of the Supply Chain. Moreover, Sun has earned lots of awards and honors, including 1 second prize of the 3rd session of AXHU Teaching Cases Competition (in Ideological and Political Education), 1 second prize of the 15th  session of AXHU Classroom-Style Teaching Competition for Younger Teachers, 1 first prize of the 11th session of AXHU Contest of Teaching Plan and design, 3-time recipient of the AXHU Teaching Achievements Award, 2-time awardee of the AXHU Annual Outstanding Staff Award (2018, 2019).

 

CHENG Hao

CHENG Hao, doctorate, associate professor, has always been engaged with the teaching and scientific research of Higher Education since 1990. After taking office at AXHU, Cheng did principally teach the core courses to the undergraduate students (or postgraduate students), which include the Modern Logistics Operations Research, Logistics Cost Management, Operations Research, EPS and Sand Table Simulation, Logistics System Analysis, Multi-Attribute Decision Making Methods and Application, Discrete System Event Simulation, Introduction to Modern Logistics Systems, and so on. In addition, Cheng conducts 6 projects related to the teaching reform and cases-based database for courses teaching, 16 publications including the textbook or monograph (first author, or co-author) and undertakes the academic work related to the “operations analysis,” and other 10+ scientific research programs at the provincial level or for the military services. As such, Cheng himself is honored with 1 second prize and 3 third prizes of the Scientific and Technological Progress Award in Military, and has published more than 30 academic papers (of which, 10+ articles on the core journals). 

 

WANG Hui

WANG Hui, master’s degree, associate professor, is the director of the Department of Trade Economy, outstanding graduate of USTC (University of Science and Technology of China), dual-qualification teacher, Alibaba-accredited lecturer in Cross-Border Electronic Commerce, coach training for professional track of 1+X e-commerce data analysis. Wang gains some of the provincial-level or AXHU-wide teaching achievements awards, directs 1 provincial-level project of the humanities and social sciences, several AXHU-wide projects of teaching and scientific research, instructs the undergraduate students to win many awards of the provincial-level skills competition (of which, 1 first prize, several second or third prizes).

 

WANG Yali

WANG Yali, associate professor, master’ s degree, is studying for doctoral degree, and teaches the content courses to undergraduate students since 2004, including Human Resource Management, Principles of Management, Personnel Recruitment and Evaluation, etc., who wins 1 third prize of provincial-level teaching achievements award (the Quality Engineering of Anhui Provincial Education Department), 1 second prize of AXHU-wide Courses Design Competition and is honored with the Pacesetter for Major Construction and the Excellent Instructor. WANG Dandan, master’ s degree in Management, associate professor, Anhui Provincial New Star Lecturer, AXHU Skeleton Teacher, has written the textbook—Fundamentals of Modern Logistics, the monograph—The Featured Agricultural Products Logistics in Anhui Province—Investigation and Analysis of the Supply Chain, conducts 10+ projects of teaching and scientific research, and has published a number of academic papers.

ZHOU Quan, doctorate, associate professor, has always been engaged with the teaching and scientific research of higher education since 1990, and is in charge of 10+ scientific research programs at the provincial level or for the military services. And Zhou is honored with 1 first prize, 1 second prize and 3 third prizes of the Scientific and Technological Progress Award in Military, has published more than 60 academic papers, and teaches the content courses to undergraduate students, e.g., Principles of Management, Research Methodologies for Management, Work Analysis... (of which, 10+ articles published on the core journals, 1 High-quality Course Award of Military, 1 first prize of AXHU-wide Teaching Achievements Award).

 

JIN Chenlin

JIN Chenlin, associate professor, recipient of the Anhui Provincial New Star Lecturers Award, Top-tier Talents Award and Provincial-level Projects for Outstanding Young Teachers, is studying for his doctoral degree and has published many academic papers on the journals, such as Technological Forecasting & Social Change, Entrepreneurship & Regional Development, Frontiers in Psychology, International Journal of Logistics Research. And Jin serves as the reviewer for some academic publications, such as the International Journal of Logistics Research and has written 1 textbook of the 13th Five-Year Plan and 1 provincial-level first-class textbook.

 

FU Mian

FU Mian, doctorate, associate professor, has always been engaged with teaching and scientific research of Higher Education since 2004 and is in charge of some scientific research programs on the provincial level or for military services. Fu is honored with 2 second prizes of the Scientific and Technological Progress Award in Military, 1 second prize of Scientific Research Achievements of High Education and has published more than 30 research papers and 4 academic papers of excellence (3 second prizes, 1 third prize).

 

MAO Zhongshan

MAO Zhongshan, guest researcher at the AXHU Research Center for Well-rounded Development of College Students, supervisor of master’s degree programs, senior expert (of dissertation evaluation in educational discipline) at Academic Degree Center of the Ministry of Education (MOE), senior expert (of regulations construction) for Army Management (of National Defense Committee of the Chinese Communist Party Central Military Commission), senior adviser of Jurong Research Institute, is named AXHU emeritus professor (tenured staff of the PLA Army Academy of Artillery and Air Defense). Historically, Mao has been engaged with academic research on the basic theories of Quality Education and of Management, published more than 100 academic papers and 18 publications (monographs or textbook). And the 10+ constructive proposals of his are adopted by China’s Overall Development Deployment (for the 10th Five-Year Plan, 11th  Five-Year Plan, 12th Five-Year Plan and 14th Five-Year Plan). As such, Mao receives much more honors and awards (incl. first prize, second prize, third prize and excellence award), e.g., 1 third prize of the Scientific and Technological Progress Award in Military, 1 silver medal of Yucai (talents cultivating) Award of Military Academies, 3 awards of the “Merit Class III” of the People’ s Liberation Army (PLA). In 2006, MAO participates in review and revision of the “First Learning and Reference Materials”—To Accelerate the Improvement of Military Training Based on the Scientific Development Outlook—for the PLA Work Conference themed All-member Military Training, the drafting for the Security Management Regulations of the PLA Headquarters of General Staff, and the reviewing for the Management Regulations of the PLA National Defense Mobilization Department. The representative academic works of his include the Quality-Oriented Education, Introduction to Quality Education, Principles of Management, Fundamentals of Military Management, etc.

 

XU Yaohui

XU Yaohui, male, was born in Dec 1958, bachelor’s degree in Metal Materials and Forming Technology of the HFUT (Hefei University of Technology), master’s degree in Industrial Management Engineering of the HIT (Harbin Institute of Technology), full professor of Economy, high-level dual-qualification teacher, supervisor of master’s program, the ad hoc counselor serving for Legislative Commission of Anhui Provincial People’s Congress, the member of the Academic Committee of the Anhui Press-Enterprise Union, the director of the Department of the Scientific Research of the Party School of Anhui Provincial CPC Committee (or Anhui Academy of Governance), the executive sub-editor of the East China Economic Managing, the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Anhui Administration Institute. And XU has published over 60 academic papers on the core journals of China, such as the Comparative Economic & Social System,  Business Management Journal, Publishing Center of Renmin University of China,  Inquiry Into Economic Issues, Academics, The Chinese Academy of Governance,  Theoretical Exploration, The China Adult Education, Journal of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, East China Economic Managing, etc. XU has participated in over 10 academic projects (director, or member) at the provincial or ministerial level.
