AXHU’s re-expression with “A Taste of Ancient Hui-Culture & Art”

Recently, the final results after reviewing critically at the national level officially at XU BEIHONG DEMEANOUR Collection of the 3rd Oil Painting Biennial working committee, sponsored by the China Artists Association and the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, wrapped up successfully, including the AXHU-based original work titled “A Taste of Ancient Hui-Culture & Art” by the current student YIN Yue in the School of Art, who meanwhile is setting another record for AXHU community of impact.

The collection now in its third edition is a spectacle appearing for an increasing number of outstanding creators nationwide, while increasingly challenging the top-tier exams and reviews by a big team of professionally sterling artists as well as an avalanche of public hottest posts online active.

In consequence, just 501 pieces were edging out of the preliminary rounds across China, and then its 254 ones joined the national finals—of which 10 came from Anhui province, including YIN Yue’s painting.

Conscientiously, inspiringly tutored by teacher ZHANG Xue, throughout the creating process regarding all the aspects, aiming to reach the event-themed settlement with basic oil-painting fabric techniques including coloring-hued by multiple layers and patterning formed in veins, to realize the wholesome in a natural pigment traditionally associated with the regional icons on fine-grained canvas exclusively featuring in Hui-style humanistic spirit and artistic facts at its core.

Always, YIN Yue wants to do better and better for the texture of completeness conceptually, while probing into even deeper understanding of Huizhou-area ancient architecture reflecting the centuries-old heritage based on the locals’ life style, during which their progressing on shoulder-by-shoulder to their common insights into the essence of the MOE-sparked aesthetics education values effective to cultivate “good” people, rather than “right” ones.

Over the recent years, AXHU administration continues to practice the “Morality + Career” initiatives, via interactivity of “Competition-driven teaching and learning,” to formulate the increasing impact of practice-based AXHU Education structure, to inspire and educate the current students to acquire the sound professional knowledge and expand their artistic visions, with which they could have become the professionally-qualified and humanistic quality-preferred talent of art in the new era.   

Being selected into the nationally biggest exhibition, YIN Yue’s work is a real-sense and well-meaning buzz tips needed to be promulgated as one of the exemplary models in Chinese Higher Education, while, as one of the teachers dedicated on the China campuses with their sweats, knowledge, wisdom, and love to nurture a garden of green buds until the time of fully blooming and scenting the air with fruitful fragrance of theirs. 

Thus, the high-quality redevelopment—happening forever at AXHU community—will be conditioned with all its members being rooted into the Chinese culture traditions of excellence and contributing to more celebrated works to come one after another, meanwhile, to bring in the outstanding skill and dexterity in handling the art-historical research in the exceptional circumstances of fine arts that could echo delicately and soulfully in the long river of history.
