To respond with improving theoretical researches and teaching practices between cultures to the international educational innovation in the workplaces, the “SHIELD” even for the AXHU Center of International Education Research, also the 6^th Famous Scholars Forum @AXHU, was launched Apr. 18 at the Academic Hall of AXHU Research Building, including AXHU vice president HE Xingjia; the chief staff at the Science and Technology Division, Department for Teaching Affairs, Center for Quality Education Research; teaching secretaries of the schools and departments; all faculty members at the School of International Education; and more, which was moderated by AXHU International Office director XU Ming.

In the inspiring environment, the dean of AXHU School of International Education FAN Dongsheng at first briefed the current program-initiated position in concerted and sustained efforts, which will involve the wider academic tour and exchange, curriculum design and approaches, expert resource groups, tech tools, and project-based talent solutions of helping the gifted international students on AXHU campus increase their Chinese Language pragmatic capacity, thoughtful creativity, and critical thinking acquired in the daily settings whatsoever, to long guarantee the AXHU International Education branding in situations and conditions “to be developed with higher-level disciplinary research and targeted innovation at the global educational intersections, and be well serving for all the faculty, students and staff to be global citizens of excellence.”  

The “SHIELD” ceremony happened afterwards, with which president HE and the School of International Education deputy dean CHENG Yi inaugurated a new phase of AXHU-wide international education research to step up its innovation and transformation in both theory and practice, and to call on the faculty and students’ advanced study extensive on the stepped-up platform.

Also, the 2025 Forum session, co-hosted by the School of International Education administration and the AXHU Center for Teaching Support & Promotion, invited honorably the Anhui University School of International Education dean HU Jian to deliver her research report: “Status quo, Challenges, and Solutions of Chinese International Education,” which centered around the current situations, educational efficiency, existing questions and problems, countermeasures and proposals.

Ideally, this near-perfect action in 2025 has already injected a new impetus to the AXHU international education at another higher level, marking the quality step-ups to continue to catalyze the internal transformation via innovation-driven teaching and research in many ways.
