AI-based Teaching & Management seminar—Localized Deployment of DeepSeek R1 Model, which was moderated Saturday morning, at AXHU Research Building, by AXG vice president WANG Xiaowu, also chairman of AXHU Board of Trustees, including the AXHU provost ZHAO Liangqing; executive president WANG Li; vice presidents, LI Jinxing, He Xingjia, WANG Qijin; AXHU assistant president SHENG Xiaoqing; chief staff with University Office, Department for Teaching Affairs, Department for Student affairs, Admissions Office, Center for Information Construction & Development, the School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence; the Clinical College of Anhui Medical University; and more others.
The AXHU 2025 Report on AI Deployment and Construction Planning delivered by the Center for Information Construction & Development chief WANG Zhi, covers: 1) History of Artificial Intelligence and DeepSeek evolution; 2) Status of AI-empowered Chinese Higher Education access to DeepSeek-like tool applications and its future in the concrete situations; 3) Critical conditions needed in this field, such as staffing level, software, hardware, security & safety policy; 4) General survey of the current research, development, as well as follow-up action based on AXHU educational projects.
With that, respectively, all the attendees discussed with further details, ranging from the historical ‘Token’ of educational change significance, pivotal points in convergence, AI model-embedded teaching and learning space, to the support services aligning with the directions of AXHU construction planning 2025.
“Riding up the wave of the 21st revolution of science and technology, which is also shaping a new world of Chinese higher education in the wake of all-in-one DeepSeek tools, AXHUers should fuel the ‘inference speed’ to drive strategically the educational transformation and innovation in each academic field, combing with the in-depth, wide, efficient applications involved in teaching research, learning practices, industry-level programs and much more, and to embrace a breathtaking future, altogether!” ZHAO added.
“Clearly, there is a long way to go,” WANG Xiaowu concluded but highlighted as follows.
“Reconstructing education paradigms; higher education-advanced models of AGI leaderboard; cognitive patterns while shifting from the ‘radius vector’ of teaching, learning conventions to the ‘tensor equation’ of data-driven algorithms that work exactly during the educationally standardized process; both advance layout in stance and step-by-step iteration over time cemented on a solid AXHU education ground spinning out the top-level Computing Intelligence center(s) underpinning multi-modal computational clusters at the megascale for smart education and research; deepening the University-Industry cooperation and collaboration to expand the channels for open sources and the talent community and to bring the AI-driven educational ecology in the near future.”
As the constructive Tech Roundtable over, which is open to another AXHU chapter of AI-based education solutions suggesting in the new era. Furthermore, all AXHUers are due to join the powerhouse to give it impetus to build out a ‘postmodern’ education model of AXHU community.
