安徽新华学院外国留学生管理规定（节选）Regulations on the Administration of International Students

一、报到注册
1. 留学生应在规定时间内到安徽新华学院留学生事务管理办公室办理注册手续。因故不能按期入学者，需提前向留学生事务管理办公室请假。未经请假逾期报到者，自动放弃入学资格。
2. 留学生应在报到时缴清本学年学费、书本费等费用。
二、证件
1．留学生及其家属到达合肥24小时内须向派出所申报临时住宿，填写临时住宿登记表。（每次出境再回到合肥都需要办理）
2. 留学生须在报到后按照留学生管理办公室安排的时间，到安徽省出入境检验检疫局进行体检，取得健康证明。
3. 留学生新生来华 30 天之内（即签证有效期内）必须办理居留许可，以获得合法在华居留资格。并在居留许可到期前一个月申请延期，直至毕业。
三、学习与考试
1．留学生应按时上课。每节课无故迟到20分钟以上，记为旷课。一学期内，单科旷课时数超过该课程学时1/3者，不得参加该课程期末考试。单月旷课超过20课时者，扣除奖学金，不予办理延长学习签证。
2. 留学生应携带有效证件，按时参加考试。迟到20分钟以上者，不得进入考场，取消当场考试资格。考试作弊者将被取消成绩。
3. 留学生因身体或合理的个人原因，可以申请休学并保留学籍。休学时间一般以学期为单位，累计时长不超过1学年。休学期满前，应向留学生管理办公室提出复学申请，并按时复学。逾期两周不按时复学者，按退学处理。
4. 包括但不仅限于以下情况，留学生可能会被退学：长期旷课、旷考、学习情况太差多次考试不合格、休学或假期结束不按时返校学习、酗酒和打架等违反校规的行为等。
四、奖学金
我校以减免学费的方式为留学生提供奖学金。奖学金每学年评选一次，评选的标准包括留学生学习成绩、参与学校组织的各类活动和比赛、日常行为等。（具体参阅奖学金管理规定）
五、住宿
1. 我校为留学生提供校内住宿。留学生应在入住时一次性缴纳一年的住宿费用。留学生应入住分配给其的公寓，不得私自调换房间。如欲调整，应提出书面申请，经留学生管理办公室同意后方可调换。
2. 住校留学生应遵守公寓住宿管理规定。包括维护公寓内设施、保持公寓清洁、遵守门禁制度、不得私自留宿他人、不喧哗吵闹、不在宿舍内抽烟饮酒、不适用违规电器等。
3. 留学生的亲属来访，在进入公寓前需在管理人员处出示有效证件进行登记。

I. Registration
1. International students should go to the international Student Affairs Administration Office of Anhui Xinhua University for registration within the prescribed time. Those who are unable to enroll on schedule should ask for leave from the Office of International Student Affairs Administration in advance. Those who fail to apply for leave and overdue report will be automatically regarded as giving up their admission qualifications.
2. international students should pay the tuition fee, book fee and other fees for the current school year when they report.

II. Documents
1. International students and their families should declare temporary accommodation to the police station within 24 hours of their arrival in Hefei and fill in the registration form for temporary accommodation. (Every time you leave the country and return to Hefei, you have to deal with it.)
2. International students are required to go to Anhui Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau for physical examination and obtain health certificates according to the time arranged by the Office of international Students Administration after their registration.
3. Freshmen must apply for residence permits within 30 days of their arrival in China (i.e. within the validity period of their visas) in order to obtain legal residence qualifications in China and apply for extension of one month before the expiration of residence permit until graduation.

III. Study and Examination
1. International students should attend classes on time. Students who attend a class late more than 20 minutes without any reasonwill be recorded as truancy. Within a semester, those who miss more than one third of the course hours in a single subject are not allowed to take the final examination of the course. Those who miss more than 20 classes a month will not be granted an extended study visa after deduction of scholarship.
2.International students should bring valid certificates and take exams on time. Those who are more than 20 minutes late are not allowed to take the examination and are disqualified from the examination on the spot. The score will be canceled for those students who cheat in exams .
3. International students may apply for suspension and retain their status for physical or reasonable personal reasons. The period of suspension is usually divided into semesters, with the cumulative length not exceeding one academic year. Before the end of the semester, application for resumption should be submitted to the International Student Administration Office and resumed on time. Those who fail to return to school on time after two weeks' delay shall be treated as dropouts.
4. Including but not limited to the following circumstances, international students may be dropped out: long absenteeism, negative learning attitude or multiple failures in examinations, don’t return to school on time after leave, alcoholism and fighting and other violations of school rules.

IV. Scholarships
Our school provides scholarships for international students by reducing or exempting tuition fees. Scholarships are awarded every academic year. The criteria for the award include students' academic performance, participation in various activities and competitions organized by the school, and daily behavior. V. Accommodation
1. Our school provides accommodation for international students. International students should pay one-year accommodation fee at the time of registration. international students should stay in the apartments allocated to them and may not change their rooms without permission. If you want to adjust, you should submit a written application, which can be exchanged only with the consent of the International Student Management Office.
2. International students living on campus should abide by the regulations of apartment accommodation management. It includes maintaining the facilities in the apartment, keeping the apartment clean, abiding by the entrance guard system, not putting up outsiders for the night, not making noise, not smoking and drinking in the dormitory, not using illegal electrical appliances, etc.
3. Relatives of international students should show valid certificates to the manager of dormitory before entering the apartment.
